Pokemon Journeys is the newest generation of the Pokemon Anime starring Ash Ketchum. However, despite the many highs, there are also several criticisms of it. Today I bring you the twenty-eighth part in my rewrite of this new series, where I will attempt to fix some of these issues, as well as add in some things I would've liked to have seen in the series so far. Pokémon Journeys: The Series is the eighth part of the anime series. It features all of the regions from the main-series games, including the Generation VIII games Pokémon Sword and Shield. This series shares its Japanese name with the original series when the anime first premiered in 1997, and is officially labeled with "2019", the year this series started in, for disambiguation. This new series focuses on the two protagonists Ash Ketchum and Goh, along with their partners Pikachu and Cinderace. It also features a young girl named Koharu (Chloe), who has a Yamper, and her father, Professor Sakuragi (Cerise), who runs a laboratory in Vermilion City. It features all the regions that have appeared in the Pokémon games, from Kanto to Galar. Pokémon from each region will also appear while Ash is pursing Leon in the Pokemon World Coronation Series (PWC) and Goh is chasing his dream in Project Mew.

Rillaboom might actually be the strongest Pokemon Ash has other than Pikachu in this rewrite. I like how the Drums of Liberation were played from One Piece to. Seems fitting seeing how Ash was trying to free Mewtwo

This was well worth the wait. Ash finally being able to defeat giovanni. And that he wanted to save mewtwo and he did it with one of giovannis old pokemon. Really looking forward to next episode.

I really like this thumbnail but one thing I see that nobody else has noticed is that there are 5 Pokémon i think that this is foreshadowing thwacky’s return or rilaboom if thwacky evolves

Absolutely worth the wait for the Rillaboom evolution. As a One Piece fan, you earn extra points for the reference. Loved the Emboar focus, and Krookidile and Squirtle did quite well for themselves. I'm curious to see how you'll handle the Darkest Day arc.

Although, despite being extremely late, it was amazing job like always the moment when Pignite evolves into Emboar and showcases, true power, and character gotta be respect to Emboar Cynythia switches her Pokémon for someone else when she’s substitute Lucario for Spiritism a safe from Ash who switch out his Pokémon for the masters 8th whenever he face against a different champion in your version of Pokémon Journeys the return of Squirtle him show his skills as leader of the Squirtle Squad now all of the Kanto Starters got time to shine during the masters 8th with Bulbasaur Charizard and now Squirtle Thwackey finally confronts Giovanni that he gain his courage back then of course, when Thwackey evolves into Rillaboom and then Gigantamax and of course Giovanni mega evolves Mewtwo into Mega Mewtwo X We get this epic battle between G-max Rillaboom and Mega Mewtwo and Rillaboom had defeated Mega Mewtwo legendary Pokémon upon mega evolved Rillaboom i’ll be super Duper extremely strong people say Leon’s Rillaboom it’s crazy Schunk in the real show good luck with your creative ideas for the next year of 2024 man and you are awesome 👏 great 👍 ✨✨✨👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍🤟🤟🤟🤟😎😎😎😎😎😎🤩🤩🤩🤩👍👍👍👍👍👍✨✨✨👏👏👏👍👍👍 by the way I did think Rillaboom a very cool, Pokémon appreciate it way more because of your rewrite thank you very much and we do great in the next year

I want to see Silver in Pokemon Journeys Rewrite. If you must know, Silver is Giovanni's son from the game and Pokemon Adventures manga. If Silver appears in Pokemon Journeys Rewrite, I would like to see him as an Interpol and Looker's apprentice and surrogate son.

this is off topic but I think I can predict what the final team for Leon will be Pikachu: Charizard: he's only gone once so I can see I'm coming back Galarian darmanitan: every Journeys Mon has appeared except him Sceptile: lycanroc: if so I'm really excited because I love this little guy he's pretty underrated in my opinion greninja: I imagine he will tie with calyrex one thing I've noticed is that every ace as gone twice krookodile and Heracross are examples of that. this is also probably why Pikachu has gone missing he's being saved for the 2nd leon fight also Lucario and Infernape went twice as well

@@ElectroPikachu yeah it's definitely not Lucario or Gengar because they already been used twice. Kleavor and swampert already got to go and we have Greninja for water typing so actually I forgot about him but it could be galarian darmanitan I don't think he's appeared at all and he does have an ice type which can be very useful against dragapult and Haxorus. He cute so I be fine with that.

I would've liked to see Ash's friends'reaction of him defeating Giovanni and freeing Mewtwo. With Brock Misty and Tracey being very proud of Ash while Gary acts like he's not impressed. May and Max becoming so happy that we won. Dawn and Chloe jumping up and down knowing Ash won. Iris yells to Ash's name while Cilan claps for him. Serena placed her hand on her chest as a sign of relief that we won while Clemon and Bonnie are just glad that it's over. The entire Alola Gang cheers on Ash as they come to expect their hometown champion with Gladion closing his eyes and smiling, and Goh being so glad that Ash not only won, but he freed Mewtwo and put a stop to Giovanni.

If this were able to be spaced out with episodes, then something like that would be seen. However, within this I was more focused on keeping pacing, and before recording the script seemed long enough to make this part over an hour long, so things like that aren't focused on

Finally Mewtwo is defeated and Rillaboom got its revenge, it was another amazing episode but one thing I didn't like in this Masters 8 rewrite is that Pikachu is getting sidelined, he has been only used once out of 8 battles and has not got a win yet, I am hoping Pikachu beats both Leon's Charizard and Calyrex in the final.

I mean, I do have hindsight bias on my side. I know what people wanted to see, and what I personally would've enjoyed seeing as well. I mean, my rewrite started right after the Team Rocket Radio episode aired in Japan, so I had 106 episodes to reflect on and work around by the time I realized people actually wanted to see more of this series

If you are planning to do a "Aim To Be A Pokemon Master Rewrite" you need to see this perfectly wasted plot for "Aim To Be A Pokemon Master:" At its core, Aim To Be A Pokémon had everything it needed to be the ultimate send-off to Ash as the lead protagonist: Brock and Misty would rejoin him on his travels, he would start bringing back all of his old Pokémon after years of them sitting at Oak's Lab, and he would go about seeing the world fresh off his victory against Leon and becoming World Monarch. However, none of this farewell was followed up in a way that satisfied fans; much of the show dedicated itself to being a throwback to The Original Series by mostly being Filler episodes designed to tonally and spiritually homage the first few seasons and little else. By the end of it, Ash only got to reunite with Squirtle and Lapras while only adding Pidgeot back to his team and no one else (not even Primeape, who hadn't been seen outside of flashbacks for 25 years), many of said Pokémon who did come back got little to do aside from being involved in the plot of the various episodes, Ash never got to reunite with any of his other companions besides Cilan and Tracey, any potential follow through of him and Misty or Serena taking up a relationship that was previously teased never happened, and even the split-up of Team Rocket was undone within a few episodes, leaving them to continue following him until the end of time rather than Ash finally defeating Giovanni and disbanding the group for good. Worst yet, the series ends with Ash not becoming a Pokémon Master like the title implied, let alone rarely being acknowledged as the World Monarch, leaving things far too open ended for what was supposed to be his farewell. While it's likely that there are plans for Ash's story to continue-either as a movienote or to have him guest star on Pokémon Horizons: The Series-the end result left fans disappointed that, unlike other "farewells" such as Star Trek: Picard Season 3 or Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, he wasn't given proper closure. *Team Rocket in particular is a major sticking note. In Episode 9, they get into a major fight and break up, left working a menial cafeteria job that's taking a toll on them. You would think after so long, this would be the tipping point that convinces them, "Hey, it's not worth stealing Pikachu when all it's done is make you so miserable", right? Nope! They get back together again two episodes later, deciding it's worth trying to take Pikachu even if they never succeed. Naturally, fans weren't happy that the infamous trio never learned their lesson that Being Evil Sucks, and would rather waste their lives in this endless game of chase than truly accomplish something meaningful.

I'm sorry to say this but I want to see Silver, Giovanni's son, in Pokemon Journey Rewrite as an Interpol and Looker's apprentice and surrogate son, like in What If Giovanni Sponsored Ash. Another thing, the Silver we see in Pokemon Journeys Rewrite is the same one that Jimmy fought using his Cyndaquil. If Ash were to defeat Giovanni, Ash needs to meet Silver and he needs Silver as an ally to help him defeat Giovanni and bring the entire Team Rocket Organization down and get disbanded.
