I think Daniel beating Silver was done perfectly because Silver taught Daniel HOW to beat him without realizing it at the time! Also I think it was pretty obvious that Daniel was less intoxicated than the others. He was the only was who could think straight!

The show basically told you that Chozen, Johnny and Mike showing up at Terry's house was a bad situation considering they were all drunk or possibly high in Mike's case. So that would explain Johnny's sluggishness, Chozen's mind not being as sharp normally causeling him to turn his back on Terry and Mike getting knocked out early in the confrontation.

If Mike starts training after season 5 imagine how much of a threat he will be against Kreese and Silver!

Silver would win. Chozen is the best fighter of the good guys and Silver had just gone through a battle with him before he fought Daniel at the dojo. I could see Silver countering most of Mike's technique and Mike turning it into a bit of a scrap and overpowering Silver a bit before Silver eventually wins out with simply better karate.

That would've been Cobra Kai's Version of Batman vs Ra's Al Ghul

I think Daniel beating terry silver in the second fight makes sense because Daniel had regained his balance whereas in the first fight Daniel was completely out of balance. I know in real life that’s kind of a silly explanation but narratively it makes the most sense for that to be the case.

I'm a little disappointed that Daniel won over Silver so easily in the final. But I have thought about one thing. Silver landed on his back in the water when he fought Chosen then he went straight to the Dojo in wet clothes. I think maybe Silver was chilled while also mentally exhausted.

All Mike Barnes would have to do is tell Terry Silver "Your Karate is a joke." and the fight would be over. I really wish Barnes had more screen time in season 5 and I'm hoping we see more of him in season 6.

Daniel is the Karate Kid so of course it made sense for him to beat terry Silver. Mike Barnes is by far the biggest Baddass in the Karate Kid universe. they didn't do him justice in season 5 but I am hoping the writers are saving us seeing that Baddass nature of his for season 6. The only answer I can give to the question on this video is that for one thing, Mike would've lasted longer than what I saw on the show. He was knocked out throughout the whole event and only woke up just to save Johnny. I hated that.

Barnes is high and intoxicated. He's also not as active as the other senseis. He might also be more emotional than Johnny at that point which silver can take advantage Chozen had more dimensions on his game and far more collected.

Let's not forget that Daniel got some good licks in on Silver the 1st time & lost when Silver connected with a size 15 boot to the head. That'll knock anyone down & at least almost out, like Daniel was. Silver's physicality is a big advantage for him over most any opponent. I think Barnes, in the state of mind he was in looking for vengeance, would've done serious damage to Silver. But if he would've done that & Silver hadn't left his own home, then Mike might not have thought to steal the Rembrandt from Silver. Hopefully Mike can get back on his feet & hopefully Daniel, Johnny & Chozen help him out too. It'll be interesting to see Mike interact with Kreese again too. He probably doesn't have a beef with Kreese so maybe Mike ends up helping him out if it comes to that. Should be fun

Mike was matching Chosen counter for counter and even landed a hot so it would be close with Silver. Only way out for Silver against both men would be using there flaws against them. Chosen was distracted that gave Terry the only opening he had and Mikes temper which Silver would exploit especially if he’s struggling against him.

I hope I’m season 6, Johnny, Daniel, Chozen, and Mike all team up for the big international tournament (I can’t spell it😂) while Daniel and Chozen work on the defensive side with Miyagi-Do and Johnny and Mike work on the offensive side with Eagle Fang. Another good theory, I wanna see Mike take Dimitry under his wing and make him more aggressive.

Mike would've had a good chance against him as seen when he stalemated with Chozen after being drop kicked and after having his knee stomped.

mike barnes is GOAted,in karate kid 3 he straight up tanked hits from daniel like they were nothing,in season 5 he hasnt fought in years but was able to fight on equal terms with chozen after getting kicked in the chest and having his knee stomped on

Three observations; 1) It annoyed me how Chozen made such a fundamental mistake in turning around (though the caveat was he was drunk and less prepared) 2) Although Barnes is not as important a character as Silver you raise some good points regarding his backstory. I think he could have got a little more screen time in Season 5. Also, strange how he automatically assumed it was Daniel who burned down his business when Daniel had already told him the Silver situation 3) Surprised that Kim Da-Eun didn't have more of an ending in the finale of this season. It shows Tori and Sam teaming up against her but sort of trails off. She is arguably the main villain of this season after Silver (given that Kreese is in prison) so I feel she should have had more of a 'humbling' In reality, she would definitely face criminal charges for some of her training techniques on teenagers.

You know what would be funny: If Chosen taught Mike Barnes the “Honk Technique/nose pinch,” so that Mike could replicate it on Terry Silver assuming he won. Can’t predict the outcome. Or is Barnes friends with someone from Kreese’s past?

I was actually stunned that Barnes had a stalemate with Chozen, I think Barnes and silver would have been a hell of fight . A younger chozen would have killed silver because he had no honor.

Silver lost against Daniel because he just fought against chozen and then he comes to the spot and no one is on his side so confidence goes down as well, Daniel didn’t fight him at his best just like silver didn’t fight Daniel at his best the first time in the season.

Danny only beat Silver because he was physically exhausted.

Yo man, I know you're not buying that Daniel beat Terry but I think a more likely reason why Daniel won is because Terry just had a brural weapons fight with Chozen just before fighting Daniel. Honestly, I don't buy the whole "he lost the support of his students" bit because Terry manipulates people, he doesn't get manipulated himself except by Kreese (hence why he "shed" his only weakness). Yeah I think it was more because of him getting tore up by Sais earlier; to me that makes more sense why Terry lost. Just my point of view.

I liked the Chozen vs. Barnes fight, as brief as it was. Now, if only we could have seen them go @ it when they were younger!

Daniel fought a Silver who just fought to the near death with Chozen. Silver isn't fighting anywhere near 100%. So Daniel winning seems odd, but this logic to me makes far more sense than balance or any other reason.

Hope we get some back story in season 6 for Barns..

I can’t remember if the show indicated that Mike kept training. I think the Daniel v Silver fight was reasonable because he was barely still on his feet after fighting Chosen (who has continued training)

Completely unrelated, but I'd like to know what would of happened if Eli had gone all out against Kenny in the Sekai Takai application bout in Season 5. I honestly think Eli should have pushed Kenny to his limit before Kenny used the Silver Bullet on him. Outside of sympathizing of being a former Cobra Kai member, Eli shouldn't have much attachment to Kenny. Plus Kenny needs some humbling, other than Robby beating him in Season 4.

Mike Barnes still have that inner fire within him and would of showed no mercy versus Terry Silver. I think Silver would get some shots in, but Mike Barnes would get the victory.

I feel like Silver is Palpatine and Barnes is Maul. Barnes fights on pure rage and aggression while Silver is much smarter so I think Silver would win.

It makes total sense for Daniel beating sliver. He's the legendary karate kid plus Daniel had to get him after that beat down sliver gave him

To me based on all of Mike Barnes fight scenes he came off as a bit rusty. I think there was a chance Silver may have gotten one over on him based on that. But it was be a mid difficulty situation for Silver.

We need this fight in season 6

after the fight people are saying that daniel is above silver and kenny is above hawk,people need to understand the circumstances of fights and stop looking at it just at face value

What I always wondered is what would have happened if Terry Silver had stayed hidden in Miyagi's house back in Karate Kid III. Then once Miyagi was sound asleep he pins him down and begins a beat-down session. What would Miyagi do? Would he suddenly have a burst of ancient Okinawan super strength to get Terry off him?

I think mike would get some Good hits in and terry would start trash talking him and getting in his head again causing his technique to slip and silver would capitalize .

Out of all six of the main adult fighters, Barnes is the only one whom we don't know where his training comes from. We know whom taught Kreese, Silver, Johnny, Chozen, and Daniel, but not Barnes. He just showed in Part III already being a bad ass, with his origins yet to be explained.

Mike was confused by a Kata. We have no reason to believe that he had any weapons training. Terry vs Chozen fight was the big leagues with the stakes being as high as they can go. Mike isn’t on that level.

Mike actually managed to land a blow on Chozen, while the latter couldn't connect any strike but got constantly blocked, so I think Chozen and Mike are equally strong, just different stiles and attitude, I think Mike would've gone toe to toe with Silver as well, but eventually slip up due to his anger and lack of self control, Chozen being a high ranked sensei of Miyagi Do has a better self control of his emotions which is a great advantage over Mike's aggressiveness, the ability to keep relaxed and focused will eventually turn out to be decisive in a battle where you get easily stressed out. Too bad we couldn't see much of Mike Barnes in this season, posssibly because Sean was still out of shape when they shot it or due to conflict schedules.

Mike would (very possibly) win. I think Silver and Chozen (to a slightly lesser degree) are overestimated most of the time. Mike is at least on par with them as seen by the brief fight with Chozen. He might be a bit rusty (debatable) and he'd be impaired by whatever drugs he was on, but I think he still has a very good chance. It could go either way, but I don't think it would be a clear and easy win for Silver by any stretch. And I fully believe that a completely sober Mike would definitely stomp.

The reason he got knocked out early in the season 5 fight is because the actor had unfortunately just had and was recovering from shoulder surgery.

I think Mike Barnes would fight Terry Silver in season 6.

I think personally the fight against Mike and Terry would be a somewhat even match, as long as it's a fair one on one fight with no weapons. As soon as Terry get's his weapon, Mike would probably loose in my opinion. I also think Cobra Kai Season 6 if and when it's announced, it would be the series finale of the show, one because of Sony's Karate Kid reboot in the works that is not involved by Cobra Kai's creators and two it's Kreese's final stand. Episode 10 Season 5, when ever Kreese was on screen had the song "My Way" By Frank Sinatra showing "his death" and escape from Prison. Sure Kreese's false conviction from Season 4 will be lifted but his new one will be caused by escaping prison. Cobra Kai as a Dojo is finished forever hence the theme of Season 5. With Silver in Jail probably no chance for parole, Kreese probably on a man hunt to kill Johnny and Daniel, this is his final chance to leave a mark on the world and a world with no Cobra Kai

I actually think Barnes had a better chance of winning against Silver than Chozen. Barnes is built better, and doesn't always use karate. He's more of a brawler, and would likely go with a takedown pinning Silver to the floor. Being tall can be a disadvantage if a stronger opponent is able to take a little damage, and get into the body of their opponent. Barnes is younger, stronger, and probably more aggressive than Silver, and would probably take him down.

Mike is my favorite CK and KK Character so I’m a bit biased towards him but.. I think Terry would still win With EXTREME DIFFICULTY. I think Mike loses because he’s very aggressive and that could lead to his down fall sadly. But it’s a pretty close match.

Or they both learn miyagi do defense then offense which daniel used on silver at the end. Or they learn kim sun yungs master level like silver has. Either way or they're both f##ked against silver

That was lame for me too that Mike was knocked out cold so fast. However he wasn't meant to win, I think Chozen was the one who needed to finish him off for good. But don't be fooled to think Daniel is a better fighter than Silver. Look at how he got him- Severely weakened by Chozen and not in a focused mined. And while at the time it may seem as a bad decision to attack Silver like that. Duo to the attack they disposed of his army which would have gotten to the Dojo for eliminating the kids. And Silver was weakened by Chozen like I said so that Daniel could finish the job. So the attack was a great idea in the end. At least I got what I wanted- Mike an enemy of Terry Silver and CK.

I think Mike would perform similar to Johnny as both are aggressive, both trained at Cobra Kai and both are physically similar.

I absolutely loved this season but was disappointed with the little scene time Mike B got.

Everyone seems to forget that Terry was drinking before these three hooligans just randomly rammed through the gate at his mansion with a limo and stormed into his house to assault him. They were more prepared to fight than Terry was.
