An “I’m better than my viewers” video that doesn’t involve a viewer? …What if your opponent *_is_* a viewer of yours, and you don’t even know it?

That's such an out-of-the-box thought that it just might be true.

That could be the case in every video, and usually the viewer has an advantage with their pieces/set up. This game was pretty much a normal game

"Nevermind." Another chilling line, but less so than his other one-liners. Also, can someone more versed in Chess tell me why this is balanced, even though it doesn't look particularly balanced? Yellow is missing a Knight, yet they've got 3 extra pawns? Also, could anyone explain the positioning? This almost feels like a Tic-Tac-Toe game given how few opening moves are at all possible and every single one of them ends in losing the piece that got moved.
@LoudWaffle4 ай бұрын
It’s balanced not because the point material is equal, but because as you said the board is so tight that every movement allows for a response from the opponent - but the goal of both players is to promote a pawn ASAP, hence the name because the pawns are “falling” to the back rank, and you just need to calculate so your pawn reaches there first. So both players need to balance countering their opponent’s movements with getting their own side of the board in motion.
@San-lh8us4 ай бұрын
@@LoudWaffle i was going to answer something like that, but since you already did, can you tell me why that last pawn to g3 sealed the deal? wouldn't it have been a checkmate anyway if that pawn didn't move?
@flint97594 ай бұрын
@@San-lh8us Probably because the opponent had better alternatives that weren't M1, such as Rh3. Rh3 makes the game a lot more complicated because Simp playing Rg1+ can easily lead to the opponent getting 2 passed pawns.

New challebge, but it's probably been suggested/done before: all checks and checkmate has to be done from at least 4 squares away. So King space space space Piece

I am lost. What are the rules for this variant? Is it just Chess but with a different starting position?
@person80644 ай бұрын
Stealing from another person's comment, because of the way the board is set up you're supposed to rush to promote your pawns to win. You could say the pawns are "falling" towards the back rank. Though yeah there's no special rules
@8Kazuja84 ай бұрын
There are no rules, it's just a different starting position. The idea is that both sides are essentially built like really elaborate jenga towers where you trade pieces until a pawn can "fall" into a promotion, usually allowing you to finish the game with the advantage.
