That’s because Jedi follow space monk version of Zen Buddhism. It’s not balance but hollowness. Sith are like a pufferfish of hot air. They’re full of it. The three biggest reason that Anakin betrayed the Jedi is - they rarely helped but sat in their cushy chairs while a war was going on, they ignored his merits or achievements as a guardian of peace while he has to face deadly foes, and after all these years they didn’t trust Anakin at all, so why should he rely on them?

@@opus5770 Disney ruined Anakin's legacy and made 3 disconnected movies (even within its own trilogy) that were hamfisted together full of nonsensical BS and tropes that weren't satisfying to anyone. Just to give one example, they had people on horseback riding along a ship in outer space. It doesn't get any stupider than that.

Knightfall Vader was a level 9 duelist according to Lucas as well as Yoda and Palpatine, so he could have a chance of beating Palpatine if he was in the state of mind like against Dooku, That Anakin beat Dooku in seconds while Yoda could not defeat Dooku in combat , Even Lucas said that after Anakin lost his limbs he was no longer as strong as the emperor which further confirms that he was on pair with Yoda and Palpatine, but not at the end of RoTS when his mind was fucked up but when he was duelling Dooku , he was in rage but in a controlled one that time while on Mustafar he was getting crazy pretty much

It’s not wise to blame Anakin or any Jedi for what he did. Palpatine was the core to all their problems. In other words, if there was no Palpatine then there would be no problems. The Jedi made unintentional mistakes if you truly understand the story…

@@digitalrebel7718 Palpatine sped things up, yes, but between Anakin's raw power and his disillusionment with the Jedi, he would have fallen on his own given time, mirroring Duku's path almost exactly. Anakin, on his own, would have had the power to do what Duku needed Palpatine for. And he would have known that. And when the time came, the Jedi would have stood in his way.

@@spencergrady4575 Obi Wan was very quick to let Anakin go. He didn't really make much of an effort to avoid or stop their dual. He left him beaten and mangled to burn to death on the shores of the lava river. Obi Wan made no attempt to retrieve him and from Vader's point of view was just like the others after all. I imagine that betrayal fueled Vader's anger more than anything.

Obi-Wan left the ship and Anakin immediately chokes his wife. As Obi-Wan tries to talk him down Anakin starts talking about 'HIS' empire. Anakin then proceeds to tell Obi-Wan "Don't make me KILL you.. If you're not with me you're my enemy." His intent is clear. It was clear when he killed kids. Obi-Wan was willing to fight and die (and likely be tortured) against Sidious to not have to fight Anakin, but Yoda rightfully tells him he can't face Sidious. This is about more than personal feelings, it's about the fate of the entire galaxy, and Anakin clearly made his choice. People are always so quick to coddle Anakin, but HE KILLED KIDS. It's honestly flabbergasting lol.

The issue is that this alt timeline ignores why Anakin turned to the Dark Side in the first place, the fact that the Jedi Order did not trust him whatsoever, and that he wanted to save Padme's life. How it could have gone down, is that Obi-Wan wanted to maintain a dialogue, but he speaks to Anakin BEFORE Padme does, and tries to reason with why his apprentice did what he did. Trying to emulate his Master Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan would seek to hear his apprentice out, and upon learning about his visions about Padme, and the failure of the order, (and the fact that its already fallen), would offer to help Anakin find a way to save Padme, not as Jedi, not as a Sith, but as Brothers. Effectively, Obi-Wan would do for Anakin, what he never did for Satine, he would leave the Jedi Order right then and there. This may seem out of character, but it really isn't. Obi-Wan wanted nothing more than to be like his Master Qui-Gon, but also to be an upstanding Master Jedi. But when the Order fails his apprentice Anakin, AND failed Anakins apprentice Ahsoka, he should have followed the path of Quin-Gon, and rejected the Jedi Order. Since they had this dialogue first things first, Anakin would have never harmed Padme, and thus they reunite affectionately. Another correction, Palpatine would never have gone to Mustafar. The literal only reason he even did in the first place was because Anakin was dying, and he wanted to use the Force to drain Padme of life to save Anakin. If Anakin was never defeated, he would have never went. Especially because, Anakin in his Lord Vader state, was far stronger than Palpatine could ever be. and now that Anakin was finally given the trust of Obi-Wan that he always wanted, he would be much more like a Grey Jedi. Now. for anyone who wants to claim that Obi-Wan would never forgive Anakin for the slaughtering of the Jedi & Younglings. You would be wrong. Obi-Wan in this scenario would be trying to follow the footsteps of Qui-Gon, and would come to a heartbreaking conclusion he would never share with anyone. He blames himself. He wouldn't blame Anakin or the Jedi Order, but instead HIMSELF for having failed his apprentice, for having not been a good Master, for not having heard out Anakin long long ago. After all, how could Anakin confide in Palpatine about the Visions of Padme,... but not Obi-Wan. Because Anakin could not trust Obi-Wan. He would still of course regret Anakin's actions, but see it as his own failing as a Master. Then, after Mustafar, having renounced the Jedi Order, Padme, Anakin, and Obi-Wan would start their own Rebellion. Not to save the corrupt Republic. Not to bring back the Jedi. But to bring an end to the Sith and the Empire. Their entire goal is just to remove Palpatine, his Empire, and the Inquistors, and to finish the Sith off for good. After that, the Galaxy can restructure itself. Joining them would be the likes of Bail Organa, and every world that was indebted to Anakin or Obi-Wan during the Clone Wars. It would take less than 6 years, but Palpatine would eventually be defeated, and in typical Palpatine fashion, would pull something like an Operation: Cinder. After which point, Anakin with his 2 Kids, and Obi-Wan, and all the Order 66 Jedi Survivors who after hearing the call of Anakin & Obi-Wan, the Heroes of the Republic during the Clone Wars, rejected the Jedi Order and the Republic, would band together and form "The Watchers", who would be dedicated towards strictly peacekeeping, to ending wars, to wiping out Bounty Hunters & Assassins & Pirates, and to wiping out Dark Side Force Users. A completely neutral organization, attached to no governments, and who would help those in need, who are poverty stricken, and who need help. and their first task? Go to the Unknown Regions and wipe out the Imperial Remnant and the Imperial Warlords.

how close Palpatine was to failing at this point is one of the reasons I liked Revenge of the Sith. All it would have taken for the order to have never been butchered was a little more trust in Anakin. Take him to Palpatine, let Palpatine be arrested and denounced as the instigator of the war in front of the senate. Order 66 is never enacted, Anakin never purges the temple, and the Jedi thrive with a powerful knight helping lead the way, one that would soon rise to the rank of master and serve on the council to help lead the Jedi to a new age of prosperity, hopefully away from the dogmatic interpretation they had taken on during the long gap between the clone wars and the previous war against the Sith empire.

If Qui-Gon taught him, Anakin likely wouldn't have been on the Dark Side for long. There's even an article about how Qui-Gon would have saved Anakin from the Dark Side.
