The only thing you can argue about is the color palette, but you can go ahead and change it and then the creature looks completely different to what you are comparing it to xd Then it compares Lycanrock to Direhowl. You know what looks even more like Direhowl than Lycanrock? Wolf Link from Twilight Princess. It's a fucking wolf, like, you can call them lazy, but Gamefreak didn't create wolves.

Couldn't disagree with you more, there's only a few designs that are similar and Pokémon copied thier stuff from other people.

I also grew up playing pokemon, and I agree with you, it has scene better days, hopefully palworld is the competition that pokemon needs, so that gamefreak starts kicking it up a notch, hell, they sure have the resources for it.

@@scarfcat4934or just stop with making new generations every 2 or three years. Over 1000 Pokémon, I think we have more than enough to catch them all. And a lot of us already caught them all countless times, even ones not in the dexes in Gen 7.

@@manoftruth0935 that would be nice, but I believe that pokemon has just become to corporate for that, they might just end up beefing up the staff, but I do agree with you, the best solution would probably be, not launching a new game every year, we don't want pokemon to end up like assassin´s creed, or disney.

Yes, please don't mind the title, it was just an hyperbole, for shock value, most youtubers use it, and yes I agree with you, pokemon doesn't own the rights to the monster taming genre, now I´m not sure about that last bit, pokemon has a lot of money, why wouldn't they trademark all of their own designs, but even if what palworld did isn't illegal, should have they done it, the way that they did, its a fun game yes, and I really like it, don't get me wrong, but it does kind of degrade game making as an art form, I would say.

@@scarfcat4934 Pokémon couldn’t afford to trademark all their creatures, despite the revenue. They have to be trademarked in every country they sell their games, and that can get very expensive. And the cost it would take to keep them out of public domain is pricey as well. And let’s not forget taxes on everything. And with over 1000 individual creatures, it’s not smart business.

@@sunla Oh I did years ago. That's how I know Pokemon doesn't copyright every creature. And I have had conversations with people who are financial advisors and economically literates. All in agreement: Pokemon does not have copyright the creature catching genre, nor does it have copyright over every creature.

Well yeah, the originals copied pokemon, of course they look better.
