Honestly, I see this more as Stan Lee's version of Man-Bat than Batman.

The weirdest part of this story is that he got a lot of money as batman and then he vigilante as Batman. Wouldn't that make the cops easily find him in his house?

I liked it and the fact that his version went with a black man with humble beginnings from a working class family being the dark knight is very relatable. Also how so many black men are behind bars for crimes they didn’t commit is real

Hi i know its sounds unreasonable, but if you truly a comics fan, please do not promote AI art. The amount of hardwork that artist put get stole like it was nothing, sure its cool but taking it without permission in the first place is the problem. I think I understand why this didn’t really vibe super well. Stan’s characters all seemed to sort of fall into their roles of superheroes. None of them asked for powers they were just accidentally given to them. Stan seemed to have the mentality that it’s not how you got your powers it’s what you do with them. Probably why spider man worked so well considering that’s literally the core essence of the character. This is all to say that Batman is not like that at all. He literally spent the time from his parents death to him becoming Batman thinking about how he can help deal with the rampant crime in the city. He didn’t fall into the role of Batman he chose the role of Batman. Probably why the Stan Lee formula and Batman just didn’t mix amazingly well.

I bought this book when it first came out. Actually I bought all of them in their first hitting the shelves. For the Batman in particular, I think Stan was integrating elements of other heroes into Wayne Williams's origin. Luke Cage definitely, but kept him without powers. And some Black Lightning as well.

You should know Marvel already have they're version of Batman his name is Nighthawk but he's a villain not a hero

I like how he earned his fortune through hard work and fame. While also having a layer of redemption for the character since he’s an Ex-con who became a super hero like Luke Cage

An interesting enough alternate version, but definitely not as good as the original. I'm guessing this version would have precluded Spider-Man, since his backstory starts like Miles Morales and ends like Peter Parker. Given the Spider-Man references in the Stan Lee Superman story, I have to wonder now if all his DC takes were really just a bunch of "if Spider-Man were really this hero instead".
