Small point I'd like to make; things like the Great Unclean Ones and other such large-scale daemons in the 40k setting are only so populous because there's so many billions or trillions of followers worshipping the respective Chaos Gods and Chaos in general and feeding power into them - in any scenario where the Chaos Gods aren't in a fairly strong position to begin with, they'd likely have to deal with only sending out a few of the normal scale daemons and very rarely the more monster-scale daemons.

They'd definitely treat them like any other xenos they've fought in the past. That being said, they wouldn't treat the UNSC and other human societies from Halo with much mercy either and might even just let them kill each other just so they have less aliens and heretics to deal with when they finish off both of them.

@@jasonskeans3327 Mostly correct. The Covenant weapons though aren't exactly that much better. They are safer than the Imperial version. And better than lasguns for sure. Being as the Covenant use mostly plasma weapons.

You know, it would make a lot more sense if the whole fall of the Forerunners and misunderstanding of the prophets if Tzeentch was pulling the strings. Also, Forerunners have aspects of 3/4 of the chaos gods. Decadence, wrath, and trickery/manipulation. And the covenant could have a "patron god" for each race. Elites and Brutes are different sides of Khorne, Engineers and prophets are different sides of Tzeentch, Hunters are nurgle, And the Skirmishers and Grunts make up the aspects of Slaanesh with Cowardice and pleasure seaking. The gods would be able to sustain themselves very easily in this universe

That would be interesting right up until the Gravemind calls his brothers the Precursor who didn't become the Flood in to deal with the problem. Because I highly doubt the Lovecraft inspired God Race of Halo will take to kindly to another group of so-called gods playing with their toys. It's a matter of principle. Also Spartans during the war were indoctrinated child soldiers who were taught to kill but also taught right from wrong and taught absolute loyality to humanity. Spartans are the least likely of Humanity to fall to Chaos. They are basically the Astartes of Halo. Elites like wise are trained from childhood in a system that values honor and loyality to the Covenant and the worship of the Forerunners as gods. Yes I am fully aware that the Forerunners actually got their asses handed to them by the Flood aka the physical manifestation of Halo's actual Lovecraft inspired God Race the Precursors which themselves are a manifestation of the living universe itself. The Brutes yeah , yeah they would fall to Khorne because big bloody smash god makes monkey feel happy to smash things. Basically violence is in the Brutes nature to the point they nuked themselves back to the stone ages before the Covenant found them.

I think Chaos isn't necessarily as combinative as it seems. In 40k most races already are familiar with chaos, and chaos will always be seen as responsible for the heresy and fall of the imperium. I think without any figures like the emporer, chaos may pretty seamlessly envelop all humanity due to the value of human souls in the warp as opposed to the xenos. The UNSC would not assume chaos is a threat or a danger due to tunnel vision on the covenant and chaos corruption being subversive. UNSC may form into a professional chaos military like the blood pact more than typical cultists as chaos wants to keep humanity for higher quality servants until the covenant is gone or also converted to chaos.

There isn't NEARLY enough bloodshed in Halo to make Chaos at half the level of their Warhammer 40k equivalents. They'd be more like their lawyer friendly Stellaris Shroud entity equivalents than the Chaos gods of 40k. The Forerunner-Flood War could have done it, but Halo would have killed the Chaos gods by starving them out the first time it was used.

True, but even then human history fueled the chaos gods as well. Plus the war of beginnings and the formation of the covenant was a conflict just as impactful on the galaxy. I would say that it would be a possibility regardless. Thanks for watching!

Actually the concept of the chaos gods originates from the Elric book series written by Michel Moorcock, which GW pulled heavily from when creating the warhammer setting

The number of emotional sentients fuels Chaos. The population is not enough to fuel Chaos to the level of 40K, they might be a lot weaker than in 40K. Something they might be able to deal with.

In Halo, don't the higher levels of flood achieve some pretty scary psychic powers? The lowest level that does iirc, gravemind, does appear in the games; and to my recognition uses telepathy. Higher levels like stronger graveminds and key minds, to my knowledge, have much stranger and esoteric psychic abilities.

Chaos is beyond that at least the gods who are multiversal in power at the very least as they exist and feed on the Warhammer multiverse, which includes fantasy, 40k and aos. The flood would have to make it back to their precursor status to contest chaos.

When it comes to Daemons vs Flood. The Flood would lose in the long run due to them running out of life forms. On the other hand, the Flood could only win if they managed to kill or infect the cultists worshiping said gods.

That is true. But eventually the flood would begin to shift laws of reality. The flood are absolutely insane in terms of cosmic power and can basically alter the laws of physics leaving the chaos gods null and void potentially. Thanks for watching!

@@unclesamlorethe only time they have ever had cosmic power was when the promethians were acting dumb in the war and that was on the scale of the Tyranids, never at the level of reality warping chaos gods that can change things by snapping their fingers. Flood only evolve and adapt by using spores to infect living beings. That cannot work with ghost monster daemons that are immune to material laws and weapons. Can work with the cultists and machinery, but never the daemons themselves.

Make a video on how the clone army from star wars would work as a guard regiment. Imagine the insane level of respect the Imperium would have for Jango Fett, a human being the best soldier out of billions of Alien bounty hunters and mercenaries accross the galaxy. And I imagine they would have also immense respect for the clones being Paragons of the human form, able to defeat armies of billions of battle droids

So, if the Chaos *Gods* existed in Halo, they would undoubtedly be an enemy of the Flood, for the same reasons that the Tyranids are hated by Chaos. The hivemind is incorruptible. The individuals it absorbs do not feed ideas and souls into the warp, they are held hostage by the Gravemind to have all their knowledge siphoned out of them. So in a way they might fuel Slaanesh for a period of time, but, Khorne? No. Nurgle? Eh. Tzeentch, definitely not. However, a precalculated firing of a Halo ring, after spilling so much blood on it that Chaos can corrupt the technology of the Forerunners and fire the ring, using it, hijacking it, to not only cure or destroy the flood, but open warp rifts where their demons can manifest unchecked, *that*, would be fucking bad.

Before or after they get the Precursor's attention by accident and get them to actually pay attention to what's going on . I highly advise you to go do research on the Flood via reading the Forerunner books where the Flood literally warp reality and uses structures built using fabric of the Universe. Also the Precursor are a physical manifestation of the living universe. So getting their attention is a instant kill of Chaos. Because what your missing is that the Precursor are literally Halo's Lovecraft Inspired Gods. The Forerunner Precursor war was less of a war and more of a if every bug in your general area decided to attack you. The Precursor simply choose not to fight back at that time because they were a little shocked. They came back as the Flood and curb stomped the Forerunners. Some also didn't turn into the Flood. And those older form of Precursor are a hell of a lot worst when they decide to get rid of the rival gods that just popped up in their universe. So that fight between the Flood and the Chaos Demons fighting . Yeah here comes the Primordial aka Gravemind seeing that he's in a bit of a pickle calls his brothers . And enters the Precursors back into this little party. Also little fact for you the Flood can't actaully be killed for good . They are Precursor they will just come back stronger. And decide to show the forces of chaos and the so called chaos gods what Real Universe manipulating Gods can do. Not going to end well for chaos.

@nobleman9393 The Precursor can Warp reality to their will. And that includes rejecting your reality and substituting their own. Fighting the Precursor is like fighting the Chaos gods in the Warp with no protection. Because the Precursor have the ability to manipulate the entire universe and everything in it. So yeah they can become they decide they can. And there's nothing the Chaos gods can do about it.

@nobleman9393 It exists within the universe and is very clearly stated to be an alternate dimension of purely psychic energy that echoes and underlies the familiar four dimensions of the material universe. Therefore, they can do whatever they want. The biggest problem with fighting the Precursor when they decide to fight is that they can make reality anything they want it to be. They can also rewrite the fundamental fabric of the universe to be whatever they want it to be. As the Precursor are stated to be capable of manipulating the very fabric of the universe itself. Meaning they are literal God's beyond either the C'tan or the Chaos God's in power. But again, this depends on the Choas God's forcing the hand of the God's that predate the entire universe. And thus are essential the beings who said let there be light. And created the universe. Ie for a Sci fi setting, they are a physical manifestation of GW in 40k or 343 Industries in Halo. They can do whatever they want to do. It's like the Chaos God's pissing off the writers. Nothing but bad shit an come from that.

So how do the Spartans compare to the Space Marines in this theoretical universe? From what i've seen/heard, Space Marines scaling is pretty varied. That aside, I dont think the Covenant would be the ones to get killed (consumed? Corrupted?) by the chaos gods. There existence means all life in the universe ended the same way as in cannon, meaning the Covenant would be formed. And the covenant's whole shtick is that everyone is blindly loyal to Truth until the Monitor makes it painfully obvious that it's bullshit. Also the changing of the guard. THE BANISHED on the other hand, I think would fit much more smoothly. i think theres just too much going on with the anicent humans, flood, and forrunners too have any of modern halo's events with the Chaos Gods.

@@unclesamlore No, don't be friendly, thats kinda weird, but since you reacted; the thing that took me a bit off was for example the cultist part, ofc everyone can assimilate cultists, they just human, they are food. But Demons are the problem, you can't convert spiritual energy into mass, which would be a problem for everyone assimilating things, but not for chaos who is in that case probaply just Khorne smashing things and being happy about it. But still, to say something positive, I liked the presentation and your voice isn't hurting my soul (it actually sounds kinda nice) which some do and is an immediate "sry, but no..." which is only okay to say because I have the worst voice in existence but still am singing in trams, everyone els has to suffer too XD

they are kinda portraying the master chief to be doubtful and whiney and incompetent in season 2 ....... its like they are emasculating the master chief ..... of all the story lines they could of chosen they chose to make master chief unstable and weak minded. why oh why oh why.

just watched episode 3 and it seems to be picking up. hopefully everyone will realise master chief was right all along and he will go super masculine bad ass mode, jack reacher style.@@unclesamlore
