What if Suicide Mission from Mass Effect 2 was made using sounds and techniques from the Doom Eternal soundtrack? Well now there’s an answer because I, Geoffrey Day, have made argent metal that also makes you cry? How is that even possible? Since this video came out a couple days after the release of Mass Effect Legendary edition, you’ll be happy to know that I picked it up and got a few hours of play in, and before you ask, yes full renegade, and yes, I made my character look like bron from game of thrones. As you can imagine, my shepherd is either killing, swindling, or sleeping with everyone he comes across.

I have said it before and ill say it again you are a genius, when I first saw this cover I knew it sounded badass but since I had not yet known how this thing was made I had no idea about the gravity of the situation, they say a true hero should be willing to give up their life to save someone, somehow you made doom eternal sound truly heroic, now I know what your thinking so what that isn't such a big deal, the doom slayer can't die, my boi Geoff has reached ultra instinct! he has made it well over 9,000! he made the doom slayer transform from eternal rage, to true hero! he literally gave god his patch notes! and all I can muster up to the brilliant nerf this man dished out is PLUS FUCKING ULTRA!

Honestly, play the trillogy! They're THE best games BioWare ever made. It's a magical experience. Suicide mission hits so different when you play the game. Still gives me chills, but that mission IS my favourite moment of the games. Just trust me.

11/10 recommend plaything through the trilogy, the music is great in its own right, but mass effect is easily one of the most immersive games I've ever played. one of the few to make me laugh and one of even fewer to make me cry. developing that emotional connection with the music through the game is an experience like none other

This track is insanely inspiring. Everytime when i start to come up with storytelling ideas i look for music that helps me visualise those stories and characters in my head. I'm nearing the end of my mass effect 1 playthrough from the LE, and it's my third full playthrough in general. I follow your work and got super excited when you hinted you'll be making mass effect. Holllly shiiiiit you knocked that out of the park! To paraphrase movies with Mikey, “You stepped up to the plate and pointed your bat not at the outfield, but at Saturn.” And you nailed it. I have put about two hours into the first mass effect and bounced off it, but this might have taken the reign of Dancing mad as my favorite song of yours. You should be proud of what you have done and what you have learned. I hope you continue making these and I would love to see some persona music in this style maybe Rivers in the Desert, Blooming Villain, or Yalbaodeth from P5 or Mass Destruction from P3. I will also think guilty gear could sound really cool, maybe Liquor bar and Drunkard. I also understand though that you might be getting tired of making the same style of Argent Metal, so I fully support if you try something else. Just keep learning and keep up the good work! God I hope ID sees your work and considers hiring you. Your DOOM Eternal tracks are so damn good! I love the work Levy and Hulshult have done, but they pale in comparison to Mick's work, but you nail his music perfectly. My heart was racing the entire time when I played the "One Winged Angel" cover while playing DOOM Eternal, so fucking good... If they don't hire you, I'm gonna be pissed since it seems like Mick won't be coming back, and if the music of DOOM stays the way it is now, I legit just won't buy the next DOOM game. No matter how fun it is, if the music doesn't kick ass like Mick's then it isn't worth purchasing.

I loved it! The only thing that could make this song better at least to me, is to mix both styles, I can’t do any doom synth type of stuff but I did try to do something inspired by it once and it didn’t turn out half bad I’m pretty sure adding orchestral elements to some part of this insane cover you made, could make it reach its emotional value, the beginning was definitely the weakest it was a but weird I guess it just doesn’t fit doom’s style so yea if you ever need to add some orchestral twist to one of these songs hmu, I wouldn’t mind at least trying to help out:) keep these up they’re awesome, I’ve been following your Argent Metal covers ever since you started making them, it’s like a drug XD

Imagine if the moral routes were drastically different in Mass Effect, so you'd have normal paragon Shepard play out the story with all the social aspects and Renegade shepard becoming a harbinger of doom, the music becoming more and more intense as the Renegade meter fills, shooting his way into saving the galaxy with massive collateral damage Perhaps even to the point that part of galactic society band up against him, believing he'd kill everyone else once he's done with the Reapers. A twist ending contains him, to hopefully never be woken up.. or until the next galactic crisis drives them to do it

I've never played any Mass Effect games but I could feel the emotion from this alone. Great video. I'd love to hear you tackle something from the Blasphemous OST. Tracks like Que Las Companas Me Doblen and Ten Piedad are immediately unforgettable in their mood, texture, and composition.
