For real, I'm pretty new to Warhammer lore and i started with Warhammer Fantasy. I'm absolutely hooked. Although Tzeentch, Nurgle and Slannesh represent the lovecraftian genre the best But they can all turn a feeble human into a mindless and horrid chaos spawn because they couldnt withstand the gifts of their dark gods

The people responding to this comment are asshats. If you’re a millennial with concentration issues I recommend listening to the audiobooks. There are many that set the tone and atmosphere well. He’s not overrated. He wrote for a magazine mostly. And he himself wrote an apology letter later in life about his views on race. He even wrote a short story parodying Nazis. He was way ahead of his time and I encourage you to think deeply about the stories being told. And visualize better.

You forget one important consequence. Yog Sothoth is the gate Yog Sothoth is the key. And Yog Sothoth has goals of his own he would jar the door between life and death for good, to see the dead walk among the living and the living among the dead. Yog Sothoth is indifferent to mortal judgements of quality. Life and death, pleasure and pain, good and evil; all things are one in Yog Sothoth. If the gate that is Yog Sothoth were to remain ever open, as he would will it, there could be no crime nor punishment, no victims nor villains. Innocent and guilty alike could die at any time, nor remain among the dead but return among the living as easily as taking a bus. By the same token the living might step off to the world of the dead gor a conjugal visit with an old flame. There would be no line between the living and the dead. There would be no measurable differnce between love and hate no tangible seperation between affection and assault, because with the removal of lethality would come a debaucherous decline into decadence. Or perhaps it would be a perfect world, where no harm was done, because no harm was taken? Haven't we all wished, from time to time, that we could respawn, like in a videogame, should we, by chance or design, happen upon our end?

@@papanurgle8393 yeah but 4.5 billion years is a lot of time for earth to get cucked some other way, sun storms, meteorites, etc. Fun fact: not too long ago earth avoided a sun storm by a couple months. If earth was a couple months worth of travel behind it would've been hit by an energy wave shooting from the sun turning everyone into Milky Way Fried People

Nice video. I wish I knew this channel existed earlier. One thing I should note, though, is that Yog-Sothoth is not generally considered superior to Azathoth. It too would cease to exist should the Blind Idiot God awaken; the fact that it is the grandchild of Azathoth seems to confirm it, as to my knowledge nothing is described as coming from Azathoth except by its dream. Yog-Sothoth is still extremely powerful; it is to the other Outer Gods as they are to the Great Old Ones, so it definitely is the most powerful being that is actively involved in the mythos.
