What do you do if you get a LOWBALL OFFER??
Well, let’s first define what a lowball offer is..
Personally, I define a lowball offer as anything that’s 10% or more, BELOW the list price
So, what do you DO when you get an offer like that??
Well, I’ll tell you what you DON”T do…
You don’t get emotional..
Remember It’s not an insult to the home, it’s just business, so no need to get defensive.
There’s also no need to throw the offer away.
Instead, what you need to do is write a COUNTER OFFER
Get your counter in writing to the other party, and start the negotiations.
Because I promise you that, this offer you just got…
It may be the buyer’s first offer, but it’s not their BEST offer, and it also isn’t their last.
And remember..
It doesn’t matter where a buyer starts.. It matters where they STOP.
