As per our labor laws, company's can't do that. You need to provide prior notice and serve the same and leave. They can't pluck anything.

Venkat will soon enable Mahesh to resign :) ..I am stating based on the previous experience of Venkat..There are ways to tackle these managers and ask for release..Keep looping all project heads if ther is no reply from your immediate manager while asking release when you have a valid reason..
