This song came out my senior year of high school. Definitely heard it a million times. Several years before I met her, my late wife, who was a Las Vegas showgirl, danced on tour with him for a few west coast shows. She told me all kinds of wild stories about him. At this time (early 80s), Rick James had probably the tightest band in the entire music business. They could seriously crank out the funk. I was working at a record store back then, so I got to hear most of the "hits" of the day over and over again until I was sick of them. But this one, I never got tired of hearing. That's when your band is cooking. Fun note: The Asian woman with super-long hair used to be a regular dancer on Soul Train and American Bandstand in the 70s and early 80s.
