Nope nope nope and hell no! Never again. The pain of getting it put in and that trauma will stay with me for life. Currently in early stages of labour with my second, hopefully a successful VBAC without any intervention this time.

I had two inductions that started with these that ended up being C-sections anyways. They hurt so bad and I have a decent pain tolerance.

as someone that had that when i was giving birth, it’s not really great feeling. just a constant tugging, maybe a pinch here or there. i didn’t like it at all, but i have sensory issues so im very picky about how i feel. it may not be as bad for others.

37 weeks pregnant with my first and was told I’d be induced. No explanation (I know it’s because of gestational diabetes) just listed off the methods they might use and handed me a pamphlet to read at home, after making it clear I’ll be in overnight and my husband will have to leave by 9pm. I’m terrified as I feel my choice has been taken away and I’m being treated like just a number. No wonder birth trauma rates are so high. Thank you for making these videos for those of us that are left up to our own research for lack of care from the health system. It takes a bit of the anxiety away.

In my opinion, the balloon is worse than delivering the baby 😂 I had a C-section with my first so they used the balloon to help induce me with mu middle child. It was painful & the first time the nurse went to remove it I made a face and the nurse left it in. She was able to remove it a little while later. I'll never know but I think it stayed in a little too long. About 45 minutes after they removed it I got my epidural & they checked me right after and I was already at 9 cm! My midwife broke my water when she checked and about two hours later my daughter was born 🎉 I did have a successful v-bac though so I wouldn't change a thing. My labor wasn't perfect but I got the end result I wanted! When I was pregnant with my third child I was 3 cm dilated at 36 weeks so when they said no balloon I actually cheered 😂

The way I screamed... Mechanically, cervix and balloon, who put those words together and thought it was a great idea!? IUD's with them duckbeaks was terrifying to me, but now this 🫠🫠🫠

@nanaronhano337 I'm so sorry you had to go through that... I was alone in the doctor's office when they placed the IUD... that long thin IUD inserter is terrifying, having it blow up? Now that is nightmarish 😞

It’s not bad as it may seem just uncomfortable. Had mine in for hours but eventually it came out when I was using the restroom at one point along with the mucus plug. Only felt a little stinging sensation when they insert the balloon while filling it up. After that just uncomfortable.

I had to get one cuz I was induced and cervidil wasn't working. 😢. They wouldn't give me one without an epidural (which I didn't want) but they forced me. Even with the epidural it was painful to put it in but boy did it work!!!

Oh how I wish it would have worked for me! I ended up sitting with that thing in for about 6 hours and still didn't dilate and ended up having to have an emergency c section which they had been trying to talk me into all night and day but I didn't want to be cut open so I kept declining but I had back labor and that was awful but i never made it to 4cm I was also 41 weeks and 2 days. Man it was awful! Then 5 months later I found out I was already 11 weeks pregnant again with my son and needless to say I cried for 2 days it was rough.

I had a balloon inserted when I was only 1/4cm dilated, with the intent to get me to 3cm so I could start pitocin…has anyone else experienced this?

When you're overdue or to speed up the process. But i would rather exercise till i am exhausted, eat spicy food and climb stairs Up and down than excepting this torture device.
