I am using this to improve my pull ups....2wks passed started with 15kgs now doing 20....now I can hold the bar I mean climb a chair hold the bar near chin area and now can stay for 15-20seconds but still unable to do my 1st pull up yet.....will only doing farmers carry help me in getting pull up

The farmer carry will help with your grip strength and other muscles, but you will still need to work on doing pull-ups to improve overall. Maybe try some form of assisted pull-ups as well. Keep doing the isometric holds as well.

You can use them as a substitute from shrugs. They are also a great for the abdominals as well. There are multiple variations of this exercise. I use both the farmer carry and shrugs in my program.

Less stabilization when you stand in place. Moving forces the abdominal muscles to engage and to maintain posture for stability. This movement engages quite a few muscles to be performed properly.

I would focus on training 2-3x a week of full body splits. Picking 2-3 compound movements and a few accessory movements. Focus on progressive overload, nutrition, and recovery.
