Black light is a strong for of uv. Axolotls do not have eyelids & any bright light can be very annoying to them.

Black lights are high in UV, which axolotls are super sensitive to.

Heee I got a little question about my tank bcs I have a 70l aquarium whit 2 vail teils but the tank is a bit gross and I wanna clean it but when I look on the internet they say that if you clean out your aquarium the good bacteria will be gone and that’s bad for you fish so than I looked up for some bottles whit fluid in them against bacteria and other wierd as animals or something but my question is what kind of fluit can I buy so that my aquarium wil be clean again whitout killing the goof bacteria and what destroys the algea? And what to do whit little snail in you aquarium? I’m from Holland btw so sorry for my typing skills hahaha but hopefully you can help me out and btw you are a beautiful person and I love all your videos keep going on!!❤️

I know your question has already been answered but you should not try to keep any other animal with a turtle at all. Even if your turtle is the size of a quarter now, unless you have had it for years there is no way to guarantee they won’t get bigger. If someone sold you a yellow belly slider and said they will stay that size they absolutely lied to you. Turtles are opportunistic eaters and will bite anything they can get in their mouth, they only spit it out after they decide they don’t like it, which is usually too late for whatever they bit. My fiance got sold a couple of tiny little turtles when he was younger and he fell victim to the size thing and the man told him they could be kept with other fish. My fiance got some cool expensive little fish and then they were gone. Geronimo and Squirt ate the fish and later had to be separated because Geronimo was trying to eat Squirt. I know you love your turtle but you cannot forget that they are reptiles, which lack the capacity to feel love or a sense of community or companionship. They simply learn to recognize where their food comes from. Sorry for the long reply! I just don’t want your experience with turtles to be ruined like it was for my fiance. He loves turtles but because of his experience with it he never wants to have one again.

I asked my mom if u could get one Bc I’ve been wanting on for 6-5 months i definitely need to set up my tank first Bc buying one online is more expensive then store so if my mom and dad say yes ima go to pet smart :) I have done my research on them, I wanna get a Lucy or melaniod also a wild type but I have to see what I want

i have a question. i got my axolotl in january 2021 and she has been getting super skinny since and getting more pale. whats wrong with her? ive been feeding her blood worms, and her water temp is around 68 F.

Blood worms actually have very little nutritional value to them. Switch to something more nutritious like earth worms and up feeding. Also make sure your water parameters are correct. Check Stressinabox.com for proper care info.

Crazy! thank you for the info, i just rescued two axolotl's and one id GFP. I named them Cosmo and Wanda for their colors but based on your other videos i think Cosmo the GFP is a girl and Wanda is a boy lol.
