BIG A MEMPHIS 10 Indeed! I’ve read this somewhere “Error, like Truth, has its own admirers”. Some people just love the status quo, no matter how bad it is. They’ll stand to protect their ego investment. Man, listen, if I can change my life to be able to generate an income of $10k/month, have lots of valuable contacts, and be useful to others, I will do it. And that’s the road I’m on. Kevin is a blessing.

I get tired of black people talking about the system being the reason they haven't made it or they don't even try. I am a black man that did specific work for a law firm that no one else did for them. I learned how to do things better than they did and I realized how much they needed my knowledge. I decided to leave and start my own consulting business doing what I did for them for several different attorneys because I realized my intellectual property was worth more than what I was being paid. I am literally the only black person doing what I do on this level. I know whites and other races of people look down on me due to my race, but I'm never going to let other black people get into my head about things our ancestors dealt with bring me down. Just because people say you are worthless is because you are black doesn't mean you have to accept it. Keep moving forward. I almost fell on my face starting my own business and the law firm I worked for that didn't notice my worth started using me as a private contractor because the replacements they got after I left couldn't do what I did for them and I'm literally the only black person that worked in the office previously. Stop listening to black people leaning on things of the past. Yes I acknowledge some white people and other races don't like us, but stop letting that keep you down.
@thespector8587
@thespector8587 3 жыл бұрын
I 100% agree, but it's not that simple. You got a once in a lifetime opportunity to proof yourself. For many, that opportunity will never come or appears only years down the line. Your situation in this climate is more an exception than the rule. And I understand that having to proof yourself also applies to other races, but what I'm saying is: to reach the same opportunity you had, a black man will have to work 10 times harder as a white man with exactly the same background and the only difference being the color of their skin. For many, working 10 times harder would still not be enough. I'm all for proving your selfworth, but I believe the threshold to achieve results is disproportionally higher for black people.

@@thespector8587, you’re very right with your points but I’ve seen so many black men not even try because they feel the odds are against them, which they are against us, but more of us need to try. Some of us will fail and others will succeed. I’d like to see more of us try so the ones that will have success can help others reach goals. I’m hoping to grow my business to the point that I can get others working with me and for me that will most likely be black employees. Then I can teach them the ropes and they can branch off and do their own thing. Whether it’s in this industry or another industry. We have to lead with encouragement to our people rather than leaning on how whites and other races of people hate us, which is extremely true, but we have to fight past that and have the attitude to say bump what you think, you’re not going to stop me from my success.

@@CaspianCEO, I believe we live in a country that was built by white people plans for white people and anyone that isn’t white is made to feel they don’t belong but I don’t care about that. It’s the white peoples fault for bringing us here as slaves and we’re here to stay. I’m not going to waste my time worrying about whites and people of other races whose minds have been poisoned to think black people are less than valuable. I’m very cautious of dealing with others but I’m not going to go through my life saying the system is against me, which then hinders me from doing business the way I need to do business. If I walk around trying to be pro black about every move I make, I’ll be broke like all those other pro black folks. We can promote black businesses without being antisocial with other races. Get into certain industries and then slowly make our presence known without shouting it from the mountain top. Basically we need to do what Jewish people have done in certain industries by quietly taking over and then we can make business practices and other things more fair for blacks moving forward.

Only 10% of the nation even have the basics to be HVM (the income requirement). Only 5% of black men do. I’ve been watching Kevin’s content for a year and it just occurred to me that I was a HVM. I’ve been making HVM money for over ten years and always took it for granted. I’m in no position to be sick of anybody trying to get where I’ve been. When he was taking to the young man about his father, that was some powerful stuff. As a grown man, if your father is in your life it’s now your responsibility to do all you can. Now if he’s a deadbeat, that’s a different story. But if you don’t have respect and reverence for your parents, your gonna have a hell of a time in the real world. I never knew my dad growing up. He took off with his drug habit before I was old enough to remember and I heard my mothers side for 30 years. Long story short, he found me and I made the grown decision to have a relationship with my dad and I couldn’t be happier. We got a long way to go but I’m glad I did.

And you also better your life as you better yourself. That it actually means something to overcome who you were AND that you can do it. What else would the incentive for going through a process as painful as self-realization be? Also I'm transferring to University next year from community college and I find it serendipitous that I stumble on Kevin's content shortly before doing so. You're speaking uncomfortable truths. We, black men collectively and globally, have been shutout of the economic opportunities. We, therefore, try to compensate from an early age by focusing on shit that doesn't matter in the grand scheme but makes us feel good. We, collectively(with many many noteworthy exceptions), know that the competition is tough and many bow out. In the immortal words of Marlo from "The Wire" "you want it to be one way but it's the other. You are absolutely right, high value is ONLY a point of contention among men who have no value and know that if it becomes acceptable widely WITHIN our community they will lose the little they have. I think we need to have a second term ... Term 1: High Value Man (HVM) = man of a consistent certain net worth and/or totality of assets (and network of other high income earners/groupings) that places him in the top 1 - 10% of all income earners (edit of course if don't like) .. Term 2: High Quality Man (HQM) = man with a desirable number (and set) of character qualities that place him among the top choices of his peer group (edit of course if you don't like)... I think this would help those who are less than enthused there is a HVM title in the first place. It would mean any man, regardless of demographics and income a man can be HQM but of course has nothing to do with being HVM which is first and foremost based on income

Two points about a network. If a person has a network of 20,000 low value people, what does he have compared to a person who has a network of 20 high value people? Nothing. What is the ideal size of a network? Having large numbers in a database but no connection with the people is meaningless. I believe a solid network is no greater than 20. Jesus changed the world with 12. I would focus more on the quality of the network and the roles played by those in the network. The concept needs to be fleshed out.

If a Man is follows basic rules and stay focus he will achieve this. 1. Education to Economic key 2. Network fatetnal or career to access growth and development 3. What you do for others you can do for your self build your own business 40 career 20 your business. As community we survived off of a lot high value people who broke down door and set the mark. Do the work we started our own banks and system.

In africa we have social hierarchy even if it's a faux pas to say it. A students work for F students. It's TRUE today and it was true for our ancestors. "A man's beauty is in his cows" african proverb. Men with the most wealth and influence had the most wives. Is it fair probably not but it is what it is🤷🏾‍♀️

@Hope Love I know exactly what you're talking about. That's why it's a "faux pas" because people get in their feelings when you tell them the truth of this world.

"A man's beauty is in his cows". Yeah, to some extent. But looking good doesn't hurt either. Some women will act like you don't exist until you say something to them--then you find out that they actually had their eyes on you since you walked in the door and are very attracted to you. Women are strange.

Kevin makes a true point. My dad was a poorer black boy growing up in the 70's as the youngest child and got into the Air Force and was there for over 23 years going on 24 (23 years and 10 months and 19 days as he told me exactly lol) and he had bought a house or two and lived life and still had enough to make a life for himself the way he should've and now he works driving the local bus system here in Dallas area. Yet he got up and made something of himself when he was young and had a great job and did things that most black men will never be able to say they had. He went out there and made it happen! No ifs, ands or buts. So all these other black men need to stop playing about how they can't be anything when they aren't even trying to do what they need to do in order to change their lives they way they want!

High value men have a good grasp on Human behavior which is why the smartest people don't run the world. The men in power created a grading system with alphabets to allow people to think they are better and smarter Bec you got a certain "letter" on your test. These men know human behavior.

High value black men should be applauded twice as much because black parents for the most part don't leave inheritances or give success guidance. Guys like Trump had most of the things on this list before they hit the ground running.

I don’t understand how parents get divorced and the son stays with the mom. My brother and I was at my dads hip nonstop we went with him everywhere even simple errands. He took us to Parks, bike riding, etc at least twice a week. if they ever got a divorce us being with our father would have been automatic without discussion no matter what the courts say and my mom knew that. I love my mom and all but I don’t understand these dudes staying with their mom instead of being with their father, I didn’t even know that was a thing and at 14 if my dad was leaving the house and I was the caller I would’ve told my dad “I’m coming with u” and packed my bags. idgaf if he was low value or not, the heck u living with your mom for.

that’s what I’m saying even if my dad tried to leave us I would’ve have voluntarily packed my own bags and told my dad “I’m coming with u”. When I was young I heard my parents get into numerous arguments that got to that point and I already knew what I was going to do. One of the reasons why my mom never divorced my dad and they always worked it out is because she knew me and my brother were going to dip as well to be with our father. Even at 7, 8, or 9 I knew instinctively that I needed to live with a man in the home. We someone to physically protect us, teach us how to use our hands, how to conduct ourselves amongst the presence of other men etc. we would’ve rejected the concept of allowing a women to raise us. But everybody’s father is different. For him to be 14 and sitting at home with his mom and not going with his dad is ludicrous to me. Idc if we were moving into a studio apartment I’m living with my dad and my dad knew this

Can't understand why so many Fellas are butthurt by The Big Clipper's Concept of High Value. It is General in some aspects and Specific in others. It Cuts to the Chase , which is a good thing. It's the one Concept that gives ALL Men a chance. We should Celebrate Kevin for what he is doing for Men AND Women in all spaces as it pertains to Image/Empowerment/Co-Habitation from this day forward.
