I sometimes walk at the dog park with a first grade boy. A few weeks ago as we walked, I asked him who owned the doberman puppy…he pointed to a young woman, short hair, baggy pants, rainbow hat…and he said that lady, but she looks like a boy, but I think shes a girl. My mom told me to be kind to people, but i think (then he began stumbling over what he wanted to say)he clearly could tell there was something wrong with this girl but he was too kind to go further, being so young. Even a first grader knows.
