From England, so that's what it's for! This ageing old fool likes to build scale models as best I can so bought an airbrush with this control on it but was too scared to touch it. The ageing process isn't all it's cracked up to be. Now I know and your brilliant tutorial might have unlocked genius, who knows. Thank you sir this has really helped.

I didn’t know what that MAC valve was, I thought it was to help adjust the paint flow not the air pressure, thank you for the explanation

Hi Dave, great video. If your airbrush doesn't have a mac valve, you can get inline mac valves. I have two that I purchased online.

thanks for another excellent video. I had the chance to pick up the same airbrush at a price I couldn't refuse but I haven't been able to try it out yet due to a pinched nerve in my right shoulder, so it's good to see it in action here. I'm new to the game and also coming from using a cheapo 20 quid Chinese jobby, I was wondering how you're finding HP-CH in general use compared with, say, the Eclipse? @ 3:11 I swear I heard a fart sneak out! ;'-D

Loneman, I find it very equivalent to the eclipse with a few upgrades. of course the MAC valve, it also has a cut-a-way handle for pulling the needle back to unclog jams and a beveled trigger and the needle is a .3 compared to a .35 on the eclipse but that is so minor one cannot tell the difference. I really love your content, and instructions, but, to be correct, a MAC valve only controls FLOW, NOT PRESSURE, what ever your regulator says is what your pressure is, the mac valve is just as your needle and nozzle, they are a Needle valve, nothing more. Let me explain, set your MAC valve at any point, plug your bowl, plug the nozzle, plug the rear seal, depress air valve, on both sides of the mac valve with have the same pressure, the pressure will equalize at what ever the regulator is set at! MAC valves control flow! Just like your needle and nozzle do!
