I have been using the new Bing for a while now, it's great. The only limitations it probably would have, would be doing a few simple things like what the Google assistant can do. Example: set timers. The code generation for it is also good, but limited due to Microsofts AI conversation limitations. Overall I cant wait for what the 5th iteration will look like, heck the 10th.

Basic personal assistants can't generate code, nor can they write entire essay's on why you're wrong or right. The new Bing can do that, it is also why Siri is being modified so that the GPT large language model can work with it. It ain't as "advanced" as the language model is. I own a Google assistant also, ChatGPT and GPT4 for the time being is also more intelligent.

@Adrian Twarog. Great video. A question, does Bing AI take information from your e-mails and the web and combine them to deliver the results of a search? Example I asked it to provide information about a subject and it referenced, 100% confidential unpublished information was was only found in my e-mail.... thoughts?

My concern with the Bing testing i just did was it shows free licensed things. This suggested nature of a thing does not constitute a license check of that thing. A license check is across the net not matter where the licensed thing file came from, even if you drew the file yourself you'd still be required to license check all uploads and sales, NO MATTER WHERE THE THING FILE CAME FROM. The only way to know its the genuine thing is to license check it,. You never take the word of one engine or site. That's basics if your in 3d printing, laser cutting, cgi, cnc milling, others. I just had a concern people would believe the free Bing list can be made commercial gain from, but in reality there free list is more a possible suggested nature of that thing but its not proof that its the genuine thing, because it could easy be a criminal pirate thing. Testing the current search engines over the last few days again shows grim results and a lot of pirate things showing above the genuine owner. Some tests showed all results on page one were all pirates. license check all uploads and sales no matter where the thing file came from. Lets hope someone builds a descend search engine real soon.

Tried New Bing for Chat on Mac M1. Put me in a loop could not access the Chat as of ( 04-19-2023). Tried logging in, etc. Will give it another try later. Did all the normal computer resetting stuff. No go. I will put it on my iPhone later to see if it works. I have experience with ChatGPT and Discord - so I am not a rookie in terms of tech. Any suggestions to help?

How do you think the new Bing will crawl the websites in order to identify the best SEO value results? What should marketers do in order to gain more traffic into the website if the AI is gonna summarize the content and provide a rich snippet of the content with would decrease clicks? Thanks!

Currently Bing chat communicates with the search engine which performs a query and scans the contents of top results for relevance. Hopefully bing crawlers get some major improvement’s because Chat has no access to the internet outside of bing. Not even addresses can be accessed directly.

I found several procedures which were supposed to remove Bing's AI copilot but nothing has worked, it never yields better search results than I can manually and the automatic drop down feature is a total nuisance hijacking my page, interfering with my search as it keeps printing out lines of useless information that keep disappearing until it's finished printing. Microsoft, please give us the option to get rid of this latest unwanted program.

There is a problem in Bing AI. It cannot differentiate when it drafts something by it's own. I wrote "how to differentiate between what to say and what not to say in a meeting". And it gave me suggestions for a meeting. Similarly, when I wrote "what to say and what not to say in an interview", it gave me combination of what to do and what not to do in one section. Which means, it cannot judge between negative and positive, or opposites. The way to fix it is, create a dialogue between the AI with another AI. Meaning, the AI needs to ask not itself, but another copy of it. An example of this idea is, when the AI figures out that there are two sentiments, it asks another AI that how can we categorize the sentiments of the result of first AI. And this is a very simpe example. The reality of this is VERY COMPELX, but since you have the algorithm, all you have to do is to implement it properly. I know you WILL be able to do it. It WILL take higher computational power if you are a bad engineer. I know that engineers of Microsoft will figure this out.

"what to say and what not to say" is purely a human problem just like getting AI to write an email 90% of it is mostly trash and convention considered polite 10% is the meat of the message you want to get across Sure some of us can use a C-3PO protocol droid but the better way is to work with people who don't care about BS more than work.

wrong chatgpt free plan always used a newer and better model it was a modified 3.5 model now today im not sure what bing uses but there’s obviously way more powerful models on chatgpt however the bing search still seems interesting with search

So you would think that the fifty biggest companies out of the S&P 500 index, along with their headquarters location, last known annual revenue, plus NAICS code for each company and a short descripion of what each company does is NOT too much for an AI powered Bing? Weeeeeell, obviously that question WAS too much for Bing when asked on 10/16/2023: "I’m sorry, but I can’t provide the information you’re looking for. My capabilities are currently limited and I don’t have the ability to generate a list of the 50 biggest companies in the S&P 500 index with all the details you requested. However, I recommend checking financial news websites, stock market databases, or the official Standard & Poor’s website for this information. I tested this Bing AI and found that it is very lame. I asked it the REALLY hard questions to which it could not provide answers, until after a short while it stated that it doesn't want to continue the conversation anymore. Great!?! AI that refuses to answer questions. What is the point of that?? By the way, the questions I asked were controversial and related to highly censored topics, like the fakecaust, for example. Since the Bing AI uses internet sources, which are highly censored and monitored, don't expect to get answers to those really, really tricky topics which you might wonder about but are not able to get credible answers for. However, if you are a simple day jobber and are looking for the answers to really earth shattering questions such as "what can I cook for dinner today using milk, cheese and potatoes?", then go for it. Bing AI is for you.

Why do you need to ask an ai complicated questions about philosophy and conspiracy theories? Isn't the whole point of those topics human morals that can not be fabricated? Can you not develop ideas on your own? The whole point of the ai is just to be a simple useful tool, like for making recipes.

I pay a annual subscription for Skype phone service. And bing is annoying the frack out of me. Microsoft can either remove bing. Give us an option to shut it off. Or lose subscriptions. Cause if bing doesn’t go by by. My subscription is. I’m not going to pay to be pestered by a friggen app I don’t want

I tried it today not impressed at all it could not answer even simple questions like what was the hottest city on earth yesterday it can't even do half the stuff chatgpt could do tried re-phrasing the questions it kept spitting out i don't know anything about that lol. Tried it. The results are worse than a regular search. My question is replaced with "similar", and then answers what newBing sees fit. It is impossible to return the conversation to the topic I need. The system responds only to what it sees fit.

I've had a number of conversations with this chat bot and I must say I'm not very impressed. If you're on the intellectual level of a Maga Republican perhaps it'll impress you. But in my experience it simply gives boilerplate answers which are often self-contradictory. When you try and point out the illogic to the chat box it either says it doesn't want to discuss it anymore repeats itself or disconnects.
