I would think that she is just processing info right now. Over the course of a day tops, she's found out Mandalore is habitable if in ruins, there is a mythosaur in the mines, a well-armed imperial remnant is actively hunting her, lost her castle, and accidentally joined the Children of the Watch.

When you put it that way, yeah her actions do seem to make more sense. That's an awful lot to process. Especially with losing her home and ending up with the Children. It's probably "any port in a storm" for her at that point and no reason to piss them off by rejecting them.

And in my opinion she looked shocked at the instant acceptance and camaraderie as part of the watch. All her life she had to fight to get anything and now this. From a faction she despised. Among all the other factions, but still.

I think she found purpose as a Mandolorian. After witnessing Djin’s passion and faith in the creed she realized it wasn’t just ceremonial. She could’ve taken off her helmet after saving Djin but she didnt. She admitted that she didn’t take it off. She has been reborn in a way. Seeing the Mythousaur also probably cemented and proved that the story was real and the old ways of the Mandolore are the way.

I think Bo is just lonely. She misses the closeness of having a clan and the Armorer might be extreme in her views but she is also dedicated to the truth of what being a Mandalorian should be. Strong like her armor but also flexable enough to survive no matter what she faces. This clan had suffered great losses but continued to move forward to preserve their culture and people.

Katee Sackhoff commented on this to fans recently online and without spoiling anything, she is playing those scenes like Bo Katan joining up with the Watch because she literally has nowhere else to go and at least with the Children, she's relatively safe and accepted. Also she's still trying to sort out her whole encounter with the Mythosaur in her head and keeping that card close to her vest until she knows what to do with that experience

She also realized, that with the mythosaur being true....maybe the other stories were true not lied made up for children's stories. She also thinks the dark saber prophecy and curse may be true. Bo Katan had the dark saber 2 times, both times she did not win it in combat, and both times terrible things happened to mandalore - maul - and the empire destroying the planet. She is started to realize this stories are not children's fairytails but real stories. Maybe it would be like thinking Santa is fake, and then while walking in the woods you see a sleigh, with reindeer, and the reindeer Infront has a bright glowing red nose. You would probably start to question if Santa is real. (Okay, that is not the best analogy, I'm just not very creative LOL). Also, she probably thinks of Mando positively now, very recently she was ready to kill him. When Grogu + droid landed at her castle alone, she thought it was Mando and walked up saying "Thats it, i told you're not welcome here and if you can back again that you would die! Come on, let's end this once and for all"......only for her to find a super very cute Grogu all alone about to cry. She then finds out Mando went to mandalore and the droid has the data proving the atmosphere is not poison gas, that the poison gas myth was fake. She then realizes Mando is a dedicated and brave person to go to mandalore against all odds when everybody told him it was impossible. She is probably starting to think he would make a great leader. Not only did he win the dark saber in combat, but he also is dedicated to restoring mandalore and has lots of bravery. And unlike many of his cult members, Mando is willing to work with other clans for the greater good of mandalore. bo Katan probably just wants to see where things go, and is wondering if there may be a good reason the force lead the dark saber into the cult by mandos hands. ALSO, Bo Katans actor played Bo Karan in the clone wars series. And she has always been a actor that takes her characters very seriously and even says she "lives and feels as her characters" (and not like that method acting crap) she just takes her characters seriously and tries her very best to feel the emotions her character would be feeling. She is honestly the perfect actor for Bo Katan, especially with her acting methods and previous role as Bo Katans in clone wars tv show. She also was AMAZING in the tv show "Longmire". Her acting there was amazing and the show just has a really good story and plot that continues until the end of the show with brilliant twists and turns along the way.

No one is talking about the victory the Armorer just won here by getting Din Djarin to check if Mandalore was safe for people to visit. By sending him on that quest, she essentially got someone to confirm whether or not the largest source of beskar is safe to mine. If it was, then she gets more material for her work. If not, then at most, she lost an apostate, nothing to cry home about. The worst loss would be losing the Darksaber, but they've been operating fine without it for years. Then Din comes back with both the Darksaber and Bo-Katan, as well as confirmation that Mandalore isn't cursed. So now, the largest pile of beskar in the galaxy is confirmed to be safe for mining, and the Armorer not only gets the man wielding the Darksaber back into her cult, but also the former ruler of Mandalore as well. That gives her little cult, the Children of the Watch, more legitimacy than any other Mandalorian group, since she has someone who won the Darksaber fair and square, which allows said person to take the throne, and she even has the former ruler of Mandalore as a part of their group. And they came with proof that they can seize Mandalore and rebuild it. The Armorer is like someone who spent five bucks on a lottery ticket that wound up winning her a billion dollars.

"Safe to mine" is a bit of a stretch don't you think? There is literally zero usable infrastructure left on the planet, so any reclamation is gonna have to start with nothing but what they bring. With Imperial warlords and Imperial equipped pirates still on the prowl, I doubt such a monumental task as resurrecting a civilization is gonna go unnoticed or unmolested. That's not to say that this whole situation is anything less than an absolute win for everyone involved, but I doubt the Armorer sent Din there as part of some 4-d chess move to reclaim the planet.

Being situated on the spinward side of the Mid-rim, Mandalore is closer to the Outer Rim than the Core. All of the BS that Tatooine and Navarro have to deal with is sitting on Mandalore's doorstep. No size of loan is gonna stop the local thugs from trying their luck, and if they have some of this same Imperial tech you're talking about the Mandos getting they're not gonna leave peacefully. A few dozen Mandos with all of two ships between them aren't gonna be enough to protect the entire Mandalore system. Also, the Children of the Watch are a former terrorist organization. I doubt that look good on your galactic credit score.

I’m wondering if Din’s arc will be to break free from both the Armorer/Watch and Bo Katan. Both sides have motive to try using him for this desires, and we’ve seen that he can be loyal or accommodating to a fault. So the first bit of turmoil will be figuring out which side he wants to listen to, the second breaking free from that and going his own way totally alone (with his son), third will be coming to terms with the fact he IS a king/Mandalore and is actually the one who gets to the The Watch and Bo what is right from wrong. I wonder if Din will get his own Mandalore title for the history books (like Mandalore the Liberator, etc)

@@commanderhawk5958 Death Watch has never been one clan, but multiple clans working together. For example, in Star Wars Rebels, the Mandalorian Protectors stumble across Sabine Wren and immediately are hostile upon discovering she is a member of Clan Wren, and by extension, House Vizsla and the (probably defunct) Death Watch. In Season 7 of the Clone Wars, Bo-Katan works closely with a young Ursa Wren (the mother of Sabine) as fellow Nite Owls, and the Nite Owls themselves were a part of the Death Watch until Maul took over and the faction split between the Nite Owls and the Super Commandos (which was partly headed by Gar Saxon of Clan Saxon, who joined hands with the Imperials during the Empire). Clan Rook also joined with the Super Commandos, but were likely a part of the Death Watch prior. The Children of the Watch actually include some remnants of Clan Vizsla, thanks to us seeing the Clan's sigils during The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 1 and obviously Paz Vizsla's name.

I think the encounter with the Mythosaur (and the events surrounding it) is like seeing concrete proof that a religion you scoffed at as just a "nice story" is in fact the truth... for someone like Bo, it is going to take time to process... but is in the end life changing and causing her to rethink everything she thought she knew. The "children of the watch" are now not so extreme when you find out their ways are not just fanatical gobbledygook after all. I feel recent events have left her in the equivalent of having a mid-life crisis and crisis of faith all at once... it is going to take her some time to realign her thoughts, world view, and ultimately how she goes about achieving her goals... but I feel once she does, she will act with more certainty than ever before.

She has always scoffed at the old ways, and never believed in the old legends. She was impressed by Din's commitment to the way, The fabled Mythosaur looked at her eye to eye, she was whole heartly welcomed into the Children of the Watch. Everything she previously thought or believed has been proven false. How could she not be taken in or at least attracted to her new surroundings. As for the Dark Saber. My theory is that Din will not keep it, but it will not go to Bo. I think it will go to the true reluctant leader of Mandalore. Sabine Wren. As for the Mythosaur, I think its being saved. For a scene like in Rebels with the Bendu. I predict a battle, perhaps with Moff Gidion's forces, and the Mythosaur will arise to help the Mandalorians. Perhaps ridden by Baby Grogu, who will more than likely, sense its presence. I say this because, Like Rebels, it seems the Mandalorian creators do like the Beasts. We see the Space Whales, Boba riding a Rancor, It will play a part in the finale.

Which is in essence the truest form of Mandalorian Culture there is, the Mandalorians weren't one race but 1 culture, their warrior ways transcended race, anyone could be a Mandalorian, it wouldn't matter if you were a Wookie, a Human or even an Ithorian, anyone could join the Mandalorian people. I think this is a return to a truer more noble Mandalorian identity, I kinda wish we would see mandalorians which are clearly not human, like a Wookie Mando or something like that, I mean Grogu is basically Mandalorian by creed now, he is a foundling and will eventually be given armor to wear himself

While I can't deny that the idea of Manda'lor Wren does bring a smile to my face, I think it really depends on if Favreau and Filoni want Din to become a "main character" in a galactic sense. For all intents and purposes, Din is still just some random guy who's been tangentially connected to true "main characters", Bo, Luke, Ahsoka, etc. If they want to move away from that, which i personally would support, then all that needs to change is Din's mindset about the Darksaber. Remember, it's not unwieldy for him due to skill or ability. The blade doesn't recognize him as someone with the will and purpose to lead the Mandalorians. That's basically what Sabine learned from Kanan in Rebels. The Darksaber was heavy until she not only took up the blade *but the responsibility that comes with it*.

My personal opinion, is that she's.... wary. She's tired. Sure, on her good days she doesn't bring up the watch, but on her bad ones when she's frustrated she takes her frustration out on Dinn because it's like you said - She sees younger self in him. It's almost like she's trying to speak to her younger self and get it through their thick head that there's more to the Mandalorians than their old traditions, darksaber and myths. In a way, as she's gotten older, she's probably wisened up to the way Sabine was handling things. Sure - she's more of a realist and knows things won't change over night - but she was hoping she was good enough to just lead them back to Mandalore on her own, but because she didn't have that blasted darksaber - they left her. So she's defeated. I thought it was kinda weird too in the first two episodes where its like - Dinn is given the friggen stupid stick like multiple times and becomes a damsal in distress...until I realized the reality of it is - if she hadn't gone after him, if she'd stayed there - if he HADN'T gotten his dumbass in trouble - she would've been blown up by the raid on her home. so in reality... he saved her too. or at least his circumstances did. and so did her compassion. there's a lot to unpack with her character. I don't think she's hiding the mythosaur siting because she's malicious and wants to keep it to herself for future use - she knows all too well from her past how blinding the mythos of the Mandalorians can be and how they'll blindly follow evil dirtbags just for checking some boxes off on a prophecy sorta thing. She wants them to come to the same conclusion she did. the stories are just stories. you need more than the darksaber and riding a mythical beast to lead. she's just frustrated her people haven't seen that yet.

As Din tells her point blank on approach. "It may go better if you just keep your helm on" If the armorer is Rook, who knows. But the two angles remain the same with the Armorer's stated dislike/hate of Bo from the past. If the Armorer truly believes the creed she says, Bo passed the redemption test the same as Din. If the armorer doesn't believe, and is using it to hold power and influence, she has to give Bo the same offer or else it all unravels infront of a huge crowd "Why is Din redeemed but Bo isn't for the same action?"

Her home world that had been an ecological wasteland even before the purge isn’t uninhabitable as previously believed. She’s seen a culturally significant yet long thought extinct animal there. Now she’s lost her home. She’s in a very vulnerable state. A group of her people who, while she has ideological differences with, have welcomed her in. She’s free to go, but where does she have to go? She’s processing a lot.

I don't think Bo is going to tell anyone about the Mythosaur. It would make the most sense to let all the Mandalorians unite on Mandalore and go to the waters, then the Mythosaur will appear and someone from all the Mandalorians will stop it and claim Mandalore once more. My theory is Grogu will tame it and Din and Bo can raise him till he can wield the dark saber and truly become the Mand'alor Jedi of legend and rule for a thousand years! Maybe just wishful thinking 😅

I think BoKatan walking through the ruins and seeing Din's commitment to The Way never waiver surprised her. Din is the same person he was before bathing in the living waters, still committed to The Way and eager to return with evidence so he'll be restored. How confident he is that this Will Be The Way - & it is exactly what happens - musta been as shocking to her as the sight of the mythasaur. These CoTW remnants are as dedicated as BoKatan wanted her followers to be, as she wished she could still be. Whether she's grasping at momentary comfort or playing a long game - or neither - she has to be reeling under reality. Right now, Din and his Covert is all that is truly left of Mandalorian "society." What that teaches her is something I'm looking forward to observing.

I think if she truly wants to unite all Mandalorians and rebuild their civilization, not only does she need to trust the children of the watch, but she has to convince them to trust her. So I don't think it's wise to bring up the mythosaur right now, and it was critical that she be redeemed in their eyes. Whatever her feelings are of the children, they are currently the only united clan of Mandalore. At least they still adhere to some modicum of their culture. And IMO, it's through culture that they will have to find common ground. So she will need them on her side.

It could be that the Children of the Watch are just offering her something she didn't know she wanted: A place that accepts her and that she can belong to. Combined with her seeing the Mythosaur and likely having her worldview pretty shaken up as a result, I don't think she actually has a scheme at the moment. Something changed within her the moment she saw the mythosaur. She didnt take her helmet off, she said "this is the way" in a non-sarcastic way, and she didnt technically deny the offer to join the children of the watch. Id say that upon seeing the beast, she realized that the old ways might be the way to unite the mandalorians. She was given another chance at redemption, and shes taking it.

Have you considered that Bo Katan has already decided that Din Djarin is the Mandalore, and she is setting him up to rule, and she plans to rule out his side. She hid the knowledge of they mythosaur from him to that he may confront it without foreknowledge, which is probably a Mandalorian tradition. What bugs me a bit about about this children of the watch rule that mandalorians in the watch who remove their helmet are no longer considered mandalorian is that as the group spawned from death watch it makes no sense. Not only did Bo have her helmet off on multiple occasions during her previous time with death watch in the clone wars but so did Pre Visla who was the LEADER of death watch and nobody batted an eyelid at it. Does that mean the children of the watch don’t consider their former leader as a true mandalorian as that just sounds ridiculous.

Moff Gideon was the one who killed most of the Armorer's Children of the Watch clan in the first season. The Armorer melted down the armor and then traveled to the Ring Planet and is now on this desert planet. The Armorer accumulated new members of the "Watch" and now added Bo and Din. But if Moff Gedion executed the attack and destroyed her home, then Bo is now a treat to this new clan. Gideon will not allow Bo to regain the Mandalorian leadership. It will be interesting if Gedion finds Bo again will the Watch band behind her or let her deal with Gideon on her own with Din and Grogu.

I think Bo Katan may be trying to decide whether to tell anyone about the mythosaur. If the Dark Saber should have taught her anything, it's that Mandos and outsiders alike will fight and kill for it. It's a bad omen, and the fewer contenders that know about it, the better. It may be the same situation for the mythosaur. It's better if as few people know about the beast as possible until it has been tamed or killed. Maybe the Armorer should know. Extremist she may be, she may be able to help form a mostly trustworthy team to pursue it (i sure hope the Armorer knows better than to put Clan Kyze and Clan Vysla on the same mission).

Katie Sacoff, the actress (pardon my misspelling), says Bo was still processing all that has happened and is debating if the Mythosaur was real. Plus suddenly being welcomed warmly by the group she discounted as a cult was overwhelming for her. Look up some of her recent interviews, I forget which specific one but she says as much. I personally hope Bo won’t be an antagonistic force against Din. She needs to learn her lesson after ruining her home. Yes I hold her responsible, I don’t care she was young. She knew Vizla wanted her sister dead. But suddenly Maul ruled and killed her sis and she shows remorse? Too little too late. And the audacity to shame Obi Wan for not going after Maul. She really pissed me off then.

Gotta remember the context of the episode. It's about people who are adrift, and the complications of being swept up into something larger. Both Pershing and Bo-Katan were once important pieces of powerful organizations, and are now reduced to almost nothing. In that state, it's easy for anyone to go down a path they wouldn't normally take. Of course, that brings up troubling implications of its own. Pershing was cast down, presented with a new opportunity, seduced into compromising, then literally mind wiped. We've seen that Bo-Katan has been cast down and presented with the new opportunity. Let's hope she doesn't follow the rest of Pershing's path.

Those gears are certainly spinning in her head. She's being patient, gathering and sorting the information with the big picture in mind. She knows that rule by Darksaber alone can be ephemeral. She's also a bit older now, been 30 years since being a fiery young adult in the Clone Wars era. Probably pushing 50, though Mandalorians are allegedly in their peak for longer than normal humans. So while she can certainly kick some serious ass, she's not "the only Mandalorian", and would likely be challenged for leadership - especially considering her history. Her goals still seem to be to unite her people. There's more than one way to skin a tooka.

Bo-Katan was definitely keeping her discovery of the Mythosaur from Din. Even if she trusts him, it's better for fewer people to know that another symbol of Mandalorian leadership survived the purge. It's a potential strategic military and political asset, so no need to raise the risk of its discovery before it's ready for deployment. If they can tame it before the Empire finds out about it and comes back to destroy it, it'll have its uses.

"The songs of eons passed foretold of the Mythosaur rising up to herald a new age of Mandalore. Sadly it only exists in legends."- The Armorer to Din. This is the key to the future of the story of the Mandalorian. This is foreshadowing the reemergence of Mandalorians united under "the Mythosaur", or another perhaps a new Mandalore. That's why I believe the Mythosaur was seen submerged under water........for it to literally "rise up", perhaps being tamed by Din as the new Mandalore.

The actress for Bo-Katan stated she wasn't "hiding" the information about the mythosaur, it was more like she didn't believe what she saw and also that Bo wasn't going to be a rival to Din. Also, I think it's become more and more clear that The Childen of the Watch are very different than death watch. For 1, they aren't very violent by Mandalorian standards and seem to genuinely want to look out for those who cannot protect themselves. Secondly, I think we're seeing hints that their believe system has truth to it. "Magic" is real in star wars, so it's entirely possibly that there is a lot of truth to their teachings. I think the scene where they test the living water shows that there is at least something special about that water.

I suspect that the mythosaurs are naturally connected to the Force in a similar way to Yoda’s/Grogu’s species & the “Living Waters” contain free midichlorians meaning that bathing in them really does have a legit “magical” effect (also, beskar may have some “magical” Force-connected properties of its own, kinda like vibranium in the MCU, which would explain why the Children of the Watch insist on keeping their helmets on in others’ presence, even among their own, it’s not just some form of snobbery or pretentiousness).
