In my years I've been the only student in my architecture school to use vectorworks (plus archicad and sometimes that garbage called AutoCAD). VW is an incredible software that permitted me to design, with incredible accuracy in 2D, to open dwg wiyh no sweat, to model with nurbs and to use the huge library of screws and bolts. Who could do the same, today? If you are a little medium firm you should go for VW. Also big firms use it, in tandem with other products but no one can beat the landscape and the entertainment modules. I wish they would buy FormZ, to have a great software that in a few years would rise again, making pieces of sketch up, cause it's absolutely superior. My opinion.
