This used to be easy to use. Now vectorworks is trash. Gets harder to use every time they patch it.

What awards ceremony would you ever use this for? Deck is too narrow and way too high for a standard Ballroom. If you are saying this is basic be basic. This is a big ticket project. Not a Basic response for a low to mid budget Corporate Client.

Why is it that in the german version of the software you are not allowed to control or assign a pitched roof to buildings made out of "irregular" shapes (not rectangles), while in the US version is been a feature since so long ago?

I realize this is an older video and there may be more current ones, but a question: using VW 2024 and following the procedure for creating a model as described in this video, I don't see that a point cloud file created. Is that a settings issue or am I missing a step in the process?

Sorry. But it is primitive "hipster" design. Low-cost for high price with marketing tags @sustainable @efficient @green etc. I see here few garage and barns looks, not really beauty architecture.

This looks nice, but I've seen a lot of users (including me) are having quite a lot of performance issues because of this function. I had to delete the generative plug-in to keep using Vectorworks properly. So no AI for me at the moment =/ hope can be improved in the future.

Might add that the hardscape layer must be selected inside the Site model settings, for the drape function to work

Hey I tried to recreate that. I cut the stringers with the solid substraction operation... Is there a way to cut the stairs without the stringers like you did in the video?

it would be super helpful if you show a) selection of the tool in the app window b) briefly mention in which version of vectorworks this tool is or is not included c) just mention VW version and possibly year of creation of the video..

Great video on a complex subject and well explained. Its amazing how good Vectorworks is for point cloud information, which is becoming more common place in the architectural and landscape design workflow.

In order have the 3D model show more of the surrounding, what steps would I have to take? Fly further away? Or do two passes, one close, one further away? What I am really looking for is a 3D of the surrounding, for renderings from inside the model. The advantage is real shadow, including trees.. Any tips?
