The trope of Deus Ex Machina, or "God from the Machine" was first identified by Aristotle and literally described when a God would enter the stage on a mechanized platform and resolve the central problem.

This was good. How much does Carneades like the arts and philosophy of the arts?

Thanks! Philosophy of art is great! I have not done much of it here on the channel, but I am looking to do more.

I am interested in Applied Linguistics and the role of intuition used in the judgement of sentences which are deemed to be natural and normal and those which are not, including those created by machine translation and those created by learners of a foreign language...so terms like lexical intuitions or language intuition or the like are used to justify seemings and senses...Thank you for these videos and the series.

But what if a coincidence gets one character into trouble to get another out or vice versa?

The concern with coincidences is that they are unsatisfying to resolve a problem. If the coincidence fixes one problem, but makes a bigger problem, it is likely not an issue.
