Endoscopic Posterior Cervical Discectomy and Foraminotomy is a minimally invasive spine surgery used to relieve pressure to spinal nerve roots, caused by compression from bone spurs, disc herniations, scar tissue, or excessive ligaments.
The purpose of the foraminotomy is to enlarge or open the narrowed neuro or spinal nerve root canal, so the nerves would have more room to move around without compression. Foraminotomies are routine procedures in Atlantic Spine Center, offered to patients with arm pain (cervical foraminotomy) and leg pain (lumbar foraminotomy). After the procedure, usually the arm or leg pain and its associated tingling, numbness, and burning sensations disappear immediately.

I have had this done. I’ve also had a fusion done and disc replacement. I now have two herniated discs one above and one below where the last surgery was done. I’m not going through the pain again. The worst pain and healing process is going through the back of your neck to have disc replaced! Half neck is metal already with rods pins and screws. Getting too old for being down.

Some of the hole gets calcified over time ( like a scar tissue forms there, with use of calcium in the bone), but mostly it remains. It has no pathological effect, it's really is very narrow. Robotic arthroscopic surgery is such a game changer in orthopedic surgery world.

The problem is long before there's tingling or numbness in the extremities, there's pain and inflammation. You can suffer this for months or years before it's considered severe enough to operate depending on the dr.

Что за операция? Шейная межпозвоночная грыжа или как? Покажите, пожалуйста, межпозвоночную грыжу и можно ли сделать операцию? Говорят,что опасно вырезать 9 мм грыжу с позвоночника,так как могут задеть нерв и можно остаться инвалидом- колясочником,так ли это ?

10 лет назад в РКБ Казани мне удалили межпозвоночную грыжу. На операцию везли на каталке, ходить не мог. Через 3 часа, как отошёл наркоз, уже стоял на ногах и улыбался, боль ушла. До наст. времени никаких побочек. Сама операция просто космос! Ничего не бойтесь! Там конвеер, десяток операций каждый день. Всё отлажено до идеала!

Я смотрела этот диск,мне показал врач на компе,грыжа так же вываливалась,но дело в том,что мои родные не советуют или боятся,что я стану инвалидом,а я сама очень хочу сделать операцию. Спасибо,что подискуссировали 👍🌹

Can this be done in the thoracic? My T3,4 and T8,9 are so bad...the pain travels between the both areas everyday...the pain is pretty much constant unless I'm laying down on my back...driving is the worst
