Interesting introduction to the program. After understanding the concept, I can confirm that Taskmaster must be good. Given the randomness on the show, it MUST create the perfect ambience for a lot of chaos! Just as we saw happened with James Acaster.

This show is best in the right order and full episodes. Every season is separat, so you can start at any season.

Each participant performs the task assigned on the card. Aside from team challenges, they have no idea how the other participants have done until they come together for the episode. The reactions to how the others have done are some of the best parts of the show. I would suggest potato in a hole or make the highest bridge or hide a pineapple. These full tasks are about 10 min each.

You're not getting a full episode here, just spliced and sliced Acaster highlights. I think there are full episodes of Taskmaster on youtube, your boy Bob Mortimer did a season of it.

These "best of 'insert person' taskmaster moments" are terrible. You need to react to an entire episode to get context. Or at least one specific task, not one person's highlights. The highlights give no context about what tasks they are supposed to be doing and how it relates to the others. Without that, you are missing 90% of it.

I really really love Taskmaster, and almost every ep. is worth watching - BUT, if you're ever planning to watch a whole season from beginning to end - I *honestly couldn't recommend enough* - start with season 4. The first three season are good, but season 4 is just absolute, hilarious insanity. James Acaster was in season 8! (another fantastic season! And definitely worth watching), but in my humble opinion? The best season to start with, by far, is season 4. I hope you watch more of this great show, and enjoy it no matter where you start. (all of the full episodes are available for free on DailyMotion!) (and season 5 is really great too! - and really, every season after that. It's totally up to you where you start - each season is equally as bizarre and brilliant.) Thanks for the reply! James Acaster is part of season 7 which is the best one. Because there is only weirdos in it. You can clearly see that Greg Davies used to be a teacher when he takes James to the side.

Channel's growing nicely. You get the british sense of humour and obviously enjoy what you're watching. Imagine, if you hadn't started this channel you probably would never have discovered the sheer joy that is bob mortimer. One for you to watch, as a mortimerian, is a series on fishing he did with another comedy genius, paul whitehouse, star of "the fast show" (one series you'd love!) among other classics.

The point of Taskmaster is just basically doing random tasks. It’s also to see how the contestant applies themselves to complete them. Some contestants go for the simpler options but others go for more complicated ways which is definitely more entertaining! Every series one of more of the contestants wear a weird outfit, in this case Phil Wang was dressed as Bruce Lee. We’ve had others dressed in dressing gowns, tracksuits, boiler suits, jungle explorer.

Taskmaster is one of my favourite shows. As Tommy Simonsen says its best to watch full episodes, but if you can't I'd suggest watching 'Full Task' videos and not ones like this that focus on only one of the comics, as ones of the best things about the show is how the different comedians react to the tasks. The series with that bunch of comedians, James Acaster, Phil Wang, Rhod Gilburt, Kerry Godliman, etc... is one of the best seasons (Series 7 of the show) actually I take that back... they all are brilliant lol. If I were doing the glasses task I would’ve smashed all the glasses into little glass shards and fit them all in the box that way. It didn’t say anywhere on the task that you couldn’t break the glasses

Actually it did- you weren’t allowed to break the pairs of glasses but they allowed Phil wang to still get points despite breaking one glass because he didnt break both of the pair

The music was written by the Horne Section, Alex Horne (the co-host and creator of the show)'s band. They had an awesome music/comedy podcast (The Horne Section Podcast).

@@richrants5858 They're on a break now between series but they'll be doing new episodes in the fall I think. Meanwhile, seasons 2 to now are all on Spotify and iTunes (and probably other podcast stuff). season 1 was on deezer and it's probably still there too.

Also my channel is almost exclusively Horne Section songs, if you want a taste of it before listening to the podcast. But the podcast itself is hilarious because Alex is brilliant and the interactions between him and the band and the guest is hilarious.

The series with Bob Mortimer was hilarious... Probably worth trying a full episode though, rather than highlights from one contestant. A lot of the magic comes from the combination of people they put together.

You should definitely check out full shows of Taskmaster, that's how you get the most out of that show for sure! They're all on Dailymotion, dunno how KZfaq feels about potentially reposting them though...

It's not easy learning elements of other people's cultures, and modern English is a compilation of hundreds of ancient dialects making it one of the hardest languages to learn.
