Hi, I just got an RFE in the mail. They want to see evidence of living together, lease, bills. However in Thailand, the Thai immigration told me a foreigner is not allowed to have bills in their name or be named on the rental lease. What am I supposed to do?

Just a question: you said you need common bills, bank account, buy something together like car or furniture. You cannot pay bills, have bank account without a SSN and a job. For job you need a Green Card/ work permit. Which I don't have yet since I'm in the middle of AOS process. I did buy furniture for our aprt together with my husband, but how can I prove that since he's the only one with finances now and usualy one name it's need for bill? What kind of evidence should I provide, being in the middle of AOS process? Thank you

What if you had signed 2 years lease agreement and had furnished your house before you got married and the apartment office needs your spouse ssn or State id to do a background check before including your spouse name meanwhile Uscis had not issued EAD to your spouse to get license or state ID no job to generate money to run the joint account and you were scheduled for a marriage based interview

We have been married for 1.5 years... We didn't mingle our finances because I'm a spender and he's a saver so we were avoiding conflict. Should we get a joint account a few months before we submit?

These are the documents listed on the USCIS website. How does one demonstrate a bona fide marriage when consular processing and the spouse is not residing with the Petitioner? All the evidence discussed is for cohabitation.

Hi so I'm going to put through my spouses i130 and my husband lives abroad and I am a US citizen my husband have been together for 9 years but we don't have bills or anything financial unless we have our 3 children's birth certificate that have both our names on it and family photos...is that good or am I not doing good? Just need your help with proof of bona fide marriage

me and my wife just got married a month ago and we are going to be submitting i-130, we are living with a family member since we don't want to get a house yet or get into a lease since we will most likely be moving to another state because of her university, because of this we also don't have any utility bills under our name since we live with someone else and they pay those bills. we do have a joint bank account even since before we got married, and since we were dating for over 4 years before we decided to get married we have plenty of evidence to prove it is a real relationship like pictures from trips, plane tickets,conversations, social media evidence etc. but i am not sure that would help since it was from before we entered marriage. anything you would recommend?

It sounds like you’ll need more evidence. Officers tend to be very traditional and I would gather more of what they want to see You have a good relationship just show it to them

@@SanDiegoImmigrationlawyer thank you for your response , we will try to gather more. we were thinking maybe submitting the i-130 with what we have and gather more proof while we wait for the interview and bring additional proof on that day, like tax information since we will now we will be filling together.

This videos is abt couple living together. ,what abt in arranged marriage where couples live seperate ,and a husband is filing the pitition from america for his wife and the bank and lease is not under their name?

That’s a good question and I will make a video. It’s all about the totality of the evidence. If you can show other evidence to establish it’s a real marriage it should work

We just got married last week, my husband is filling form i-130 and i-130a . We have not yet mingled our finances nor have joint residence because he is USA and I am in Kenya. What evidence would you recommend. Bearing in mind we met last year in October

betty njeru Betty this is such a general question and your case is specific. Since you have no joint residence I would show proof of your flights to see each other as good proof

Yeah all that you mentioned in the video as good evidence is great if your spouse lives in the U.S. but if they live overseas it is impossible to get that kind of evidence, what do you do then?

hi @alan Abraham sir, I have the same situation with you, May I know if you already managed to provide a good evidence for your spouse living in overseas? Currently I have the booking ticket travelling together and I added her name to my insurance under my current company as a couple. thank you

@@astroboysg , I am still waiting for USCIS to decide if I sent them enough stuff as evidence, but one way is also put her on your bills like the gas & electric, water, and try to put her on you checking or savings account, there is a good chance you won't be able to but it is worth a try, you already made it further than I did my insurance wanted her here already to add her. Good luck

@@alanabraham3129 Thank you for message Sir, Do you have any idea or if its a good move that i enter the US using my B1/B2 or toursit visa then will wait after 90 days to get married then after wll apply for Adjustment of Status? Any idea if this one will works so I can be with my future wife faster? Thank you

@@astroboysg it seems like your situation is different than mine was I'm married I needed evidence to prove my marriage was legit it looks like you're not married yet so the best I could do to recommend to you is to spend some money and have a consultation with an immigration lawyer and before your consultation make sure you have all the questions you want to ask written down so you can get answers to them all I'm not a lawyer so that's the best recommendation/advise I can give to you. Hi sir me and my husband got married and jan 2020 and he went back on feb after that in india and usa got lockdown and he didnt get a chance to come back and meet me and we dont have much pictures together because his family against our marrige we did court marriage. i have joint bank account, Money transcation list, call records everthing

I’m American and my wife Ukrainian. We were married 1 year since 2018. I and I lived with her and her mother for the year. But everything is in her mother’s name. We been together since 2017. And I’ve been to Ukraine 4 times. I have plenty of pictures, and flight receipts.

Well I don't care if I'm married mother Teresa I'm Not combining finances or property lol I've bought my hose twice already And I've had all my bank accounts cleaned out once and I'll be glad to explain the same to imigration!!
