Buck Taylor was also in the movie, "Gettysburg" and played a Union officer along side Samuel Elliot.

I was only 2 in '55, but as a young boy,i grew up watching all the old b&w westerns, from reruns to the new ones. Of the several you didn't mention of their passing were Burt Reynolds, Doc, & Festus. I'm glad to hear Buck is still with us! I wish I could go back to those days when things were so more simpler & a lot more pleasant!❤

Awesome that one or two awesome people still alive!!!!! I am so very glad that my old friend Bubba !!! I will tell you this !!!! When I was a teenager I hunted at this hunting club and I would stay with this awesome man!!! Bubba and the only thing allowed on the tv was gun smoke!!! I feel in love with it and made my sons watch it growing up!! Now they are grown and love it!!!! This is a great show and they don’t make them like this anymore!!!!!! Respect!!!!!!💯✊💭🍀🌊🐟🛠🏖💕⬆️🙏

Always, one of my fav. Actors. He, had such a quiet presence. He, seemed like he had a sense of humor. I, do not remember him on DALLAS. I guess that got past me....

As probably the last living member of the Gunsmoke cast, I would love to meet this man and ask him a few questions. Specifically, where was the Gunsmoke set representing Dodge city? Where was the Long branch, the Dodge house, the Marshall’s office and all those other places filmed and located? Was Dodge City located in the back lot of some studio? Or somewhere else? And why on earth couldn’t they find someplace that looks a little bit like Kansas?

I visit Bucks facebook page regularly you can get signed photos from his website which i did and hang it in my mancave with honor.I think Buck is the best water color painter i have ever seen,i have tried water painting in school and man you have to know where water goes!!

I had the privilege of meeting him at an art show in Prescott, Arizona, in 1994 or thereabouts. His paintings were just exquisite! No one else exhibiting there came anywhere near him. I talked to him, and he seemed like such a nice man, very congenial and soft spoken. He did not seem to have an ounce of ego. I always thought he had attended Chouinard Art Institute. Glad to swap stories with a fellow watercolor lover. Keep at it - one day everything will come together.
