The Mortarman is like the ultimate Marine Corps Infantryman. In this video, I will be sharing what it is like being a Mortarman in the Marine Corps Infantry, the best Marine Infantry MOS. I will be sharing my experiences I had as a Mortarman in the Marine Corps. Hopefully giving you a closer look into the Mortarman Infantry MOS. As someone who has served and now just had to watch my son go in, You should do a video on being a Marine Parent. Like being a Marine, being a Marine parent is one of those things you cant understand unless you have been there. I am 1 week into it and you guys would be teasing me if you saw how soft I was being. Giving my son that last hand shake and watching him walk away to go somewhere where I cant guide, protect, and watch over him........... phew...... I have to admit, that was tough. And... here is a shout out to you Marine parents out there, NOW I GET IT!!!!!!!

I go to bootcamp in 4 days with an infantry contract and my recruiter was a mortarman so I’ve been thinking about doing either that or being a machine gunner. Thanks for the informative video!

I served in Field Artillery 0811, but i also cross trained eith 81MM mortars. Machine gunner 0331 because it was integral to the Battery Weapons Table of Organization. I attended P.M.I. school became i was always shooting High expert. Then attended MCMAP -I.T school because i was Like Jim Kelly in the Marines (always fighting) Those days were fun and squared away...

2 best jobs IMO gotta be 41s and 52s, idk a whole lot about 41s but it seems like y’all get to do 41 and 11 shit. I’m a 52 and I love it because 1. You’re basically a 31 + 52 because you always got some kinda machine gun mounted with your saber system or if you’re a javelin team on foot you almost always got 2 m240s with you, and 2. Most of the time your in a CAAT and can’t lie when your a battalion level asset it sometimes feels good to get the good shit because your seen as “more important” although really every mos in the infantry is important. But getting the humvees with working AC while I was in lejeune was NICE😂

As of 2023/11/17 I am a mortarman currently there are aspects that are hard but for the most part it is what you make it, there are always negatives and positives for every job I work with 81 mm mortar system hikes can be break off for those who aren't prepared as for FDC (fire direction center) can be hard to get into off of pubs (publications) but that comes with reps and good teachers if you are good physically, mentally to get to the point if your s well-rounded marine it comes easily....... the 11's are dying get that gun up if ykyk
