Thanks for the video and sharing. I have a few questions if you don't mind. I'll state it below for easy reference: 1. You mentioned that you completed a Master in Psychology, was your bachelors in psychology too? 2. Do you need to do have a medicine degree to be able to do masters in psychology? 3. Career wise, does one require a masters in psychology to be able to find jobs easier here/elsewhere? Or would a bachelor degree in clinical psychology suffice? Thanks :)

Hi Tiffany! Thanks for commenting on my video. 1. I have completed my degree in psychology and yet to pursue a master's degree in master in psychology. 2. Nope. You will be qualified to pursue a master's degree in psychology with a bachelor degree in psych. 3. It depends. If you are planning to work as a clinical psychologist or a counsellor, then a master degree is mandatory. On the other hand, if you're planning to work as a social worker or in an NGOs then a degree will suffice. Feel free to comment further if you have any more doubts to clarify. =D

Hello! Thanks for making this video! There's so little information about the clinical psychology field in Malaysia and I'm so grateful to have found your video! I have some questions regarding pursuing Master's in Clinical Psychology in Malaysia. I notice that there are clinical practicums during Master's and I'm wondering if you know how these clinical practicums are conducted. Is it during working hours? Can student's still work full time and maintain the 9 am - 6 pm, Mon-Fri full-time job while doing a Master's in Clinical Psychology full time? This may sound silly but if student must quit their day job, will they get paid during the clinical practicum?

i really enjoy all your videos and very helpful too :) just a question, can people with bachelor’s degree in other fields of study apply for masters in psychology, as ex. engineering or business? thank you

Hey Camilla, thanks a lot for your comment! It's perfectly fine for students from other fields to pursue any master's degree in psychology (e.g. master in counselling psychology), except for *master in clinical psychology*. You'll need to have a bachelor's degree in psychology to be qualified for the course. Hope it answers your question ^^

Hi there! Thank you for loving my video. The salary of clinical psychologist varies according to the setting that you are working in. However, according to a recent survey published by MSCP, the fees collected by psychologist may range from RM200 - RM450 according to the type of services you provide. You may check out the Facebook page of Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology MSCP to learn more about it.

Which school did you go to get your psych degree? And are there any specific schools that you'd recommend?

Hey there! I hope the previous comment answered part of your ques. I think there are more selection for students who are interested in studying psychology nowadays. Generally, HELP and Sunway would come into my mind whenever this question is being asked. But, feel free to explore other unis as well, such as Nottingham or even Heroitt Watt. If not mistaken, they do provide psych degree in Malaysia campus.
