Cheers John this is the direction I need to head and my reasoning for getting MS recertification as we had multiple mobile devices that we need to keep compliance.

It is not if but when for Microsoft to send the end of life notification for Microsoft Configuration Manager. It is better to learn Intune now before it's to late and the MDM guy takes over completely. Thanks again John, always great stuff!
@examlabpractice5 ай бұрын
Unfortunately you are probably correct. I expect the end of life for config manager to be announced at any time. As much as I love config manager, it seems its days are numbered. Better to learn the newer products!

Good explanation of Intune, had heard of it, but never paid much attention to it. I think if you are the IT manager, you would want this to manage devices and apps. I do primarily MSP work for my clients typically small businesses any where from 3 to 50 employees when I manage their networks and all that comes with it. I am trying to see if there is a fit here and what it would cost the client🤔

Intune is available either as a standalone product or included as part of certain Microsoft 365 subscriptions. Here's how the pricing generally breaks down: Standalone Intune: The cost is typically around $6 to $8 per user per month, depending on the level of functionality and support. Microsoft 365 Bundles: Intune is also included in several Microsoft 365 bundles like Microsoft 365 Business Premium, which costs about $20 to $22 per user per month and includes additional services like Office apps, email hosting, and more advanced security features. Considerations for MSPs Scale: Since you manage businesses with 3 to 50 employees, the scalability of Intune allows you to adjust the user count monthly, which can be cost-effective. Management Features: Intune supports management of PCs, mobile devices, and apps. You can configure specific security policies, push apps, and even manage updates remotely. Security Compliance: For small businesses concerned with regulatory compliance, Intune helps in enforcing security policies that can keep client data secure and in compliance with industry standards. Recommendation Given the scale of the businesses you support, evaluating the cost against the features provided by Intune is crucial. If the businesses already use Office 365, upgrading to a plan that includes Intune might offer value beyond just device management, due to integrated security and management features. It's worth checking out a trial or consulting with a Microsoft sales representative to get a tailored cost estimate and perhaps even a better understanding of how it could specifically benefit your managed clients. This way, you can provide a detailed proposal to your clients based on their specific needs and your management strategy.

@@examlabpractice thank you John I appreciate that :) I’ve been using Microsoft’s to scratch the surface, the deep dive into other practice tests are for sure incoming. It’s a battle against my own self though at this point. Working in help desk and coming home to study can be rough sometimes, but it’s the key to get out!
