The music in the background makes me feel like something incredibly sad is about to happen. But maybe the sadness is just that I’ve never played Minecraft. Or is the sadness that I’m a twenty something year old who is too old to play mine craft? This is the kind of music they play at the end of a documentary when someone dies... this song makes me feel like I’m missing out on a secret.

it has been proven over the last years that a good game doesnt always have good graphics, the players are looking for freedom, and minecraft gives u that, people are looking for good gameplay and opportunity to make their own world, and minecraft gives u that. no matter how bad the graphics are, it gives the player what they are looking for

because, it has no limits. And we as humans love such things. Other game has a story and it ends and the user can't decide what to do, it just takes user one way or the other to the specific route the developer want to. Thiugh, in games like GTA you can rome around, but how long will you just keep driving in a car without any goals. While minecraft gives 100% freedom of creativity to the users, and has literally no limits/end. as it is told, it is not just some building games, but you can actually make world and other people can play it like an adventure game. You see, possiblities are endless. On top, you don't need expensive hardware to run it. And thus, Minecraft beats many other high graphic games.

Minecraft is a sandbox video game developed by Mojang Studios. Created by Markus "Notch" Persson in the Java programming language and released as a public alpha for personal computers in 2009, the game was officially released in November 2011, with Jens Bergensten taking over development around then. Minecraft has since been ported to various platforms and become the best-selling video game of all time, with 200 million copies sold across all platforms and 126 million monthly active users as of 2020.

I see a lot of people in the comments saying negative things about the game without even playing it ever before. I have to say, even if it looks like it may be boring, you gotta try it out. This five minute video can't show all the endless possibilities and limitless creations you can make. It's like an adventure but you can stray off from it and do WHATEVER you want. That's the amazing part, it's freedom all around. It's things you can do which you would never be able to do in, say, the real world. So please try the game, get a bit used to it, and then debate on if you enjoyed it or not. (Also, the video didn't mention redstone, a rather important part of the game) but great video anyways

DID YOU KNOW THAT Archeology Unearth the secrets hiding beneath the Overworld’s sandy surface! Dig to find buried ruins and brush fragile sand blocks to extract pottery sherds. Hanging signs Hang signs beneath or on the side of a block using any wood type you desire. However you want to tell your Minecraft story, hanging signs won’t let your messages down! Bamboo Set Bamboo is not only decorative, it’s functional too! Craft with bamboo in the same way that you would with any other wood type. Bamboo brings you a unique mosaic block and a raft. Chiseled bookcases The chiseled bookshelf is a functional block that allows you to store and retrieve books, written books, enchanted books, and quills. Integrate redstone to make it the smartest bookshelf of all time! In the Overworld, at least. Camel The camel is a monumental mob that you can saddle, tempt, and breed. Tall enough to keep you out of reach from melee mobs, but with space for two - the camel can dash you to safety or bring a friend to help you fight! Playable mob sounds Turn up the Overworld’s volume with playable mob sounds! Place a mob head on a note block to play that mob’s ambient sounds, including the brand-new piglin mob head! FUN FACT

Minecraft is a game about breaking and placing blocks. At first, people built structures to protect against nocturnal monsters, but as the game grew players worked together to create wonderful, imaginative things. It can also be about planning and managing resources, exploring vast worlds, crafting new gear and improving the skills that are essential for survival.

Minecraft gives the person playing a place to be creative. You can have fun with creating structures, forage and collect items. relax with what is called creative mode, where you have access to all items at once, or play survival where you have to collect items to build with/forage for food to survive. I would recommend watching let’s plays to see more of the game and beginner guides to understand more of the game. I think minecraft is a wonderful game. GeminiTay has a few very charming let’s plays of minecraft. I would maybe start there. There a different platforms to play minecraft. Pc, iOS, Nintendo switch, PlayStation etc. You can also play with friends and family, so there are ways to get to play minecraft with your child.

When someone creates a "world" (for lack of a better word) in Minecraft, do you just download it from somewhere? If you go to that "world", is it inhabited by other players or can you interact with it by yourself/with a few other people only? Is the console experience the same as the PC experience, or is one simply superior? Also, are the servers overlapping for all consoles, or is it PC-only, Xbox-only, etc.? I'm clearly behind the curve here, lol.
@The0Stroy2 жыл бұрын
When you create new world singleplayer - computer basically runs complicated algorithms to build it from scratch basing on "seed number" that can be generated random or input by player. People share interesting "seeds" on Minecraft forums. But there are tons of Minecraft multiplayer servers that allow people play together in world provided by server owners. I'm not sure about consoles but I find PC best for Minecraft (basically for reasons that controls in Minecraft are simmilar to FPS games that always were better to play on PC)

For players who do not know how to begin their Minecraft journey, this beginner's guide provides advice to get your first game off to a good start, and in particular what to do on your first day, so as to comfortably survive through the following night. There are three sections: The first one discusses the interface and controls, the second provides an overview with goals, and the third provides step-by-step instructions. Within the game, while following this guide you also receive announcements of several achievements; you can see that page for full details of achievements, but for now, you can safely ignore them. You may also acquire some experience; again, ignore this for now, as it is not useful until later in the game. Before reading this page, it's expected for players to have already bought and downloaded the game. You must create a new world before starting the tutorial. For Java Edition, the page Tutorials/Menu screen can help with that. For your first game, you should probably select Easy or Normal difficulty; if you usually have a lot of trouble finding your feet in new games, you may want to consider starting in peaceful mode. A new player may also wish to enable the Bonus Chest option, which gives you a few resources to start off with, but this tutorial assumes you do not have a bonus chest. It is entirely possible for your character to die in this game, but that doesn't end the game - indeed, it's mostly an inconvenience. If you take enough damage to die, your possessions fall where you died, and your character respawns elsewhere. By default, you respawn at a random spot within 20 blocks of the "world spawn", exactly as you did when starting the game. Using a bed lets you pick a specific spot to respawn (this is an important step, and beds are mentioned several times in this guide). Once you respawn, you have 5 minutes to get back to where you died, to retrieve your items before they disappear. Unfortunately, this isn't always an option: If you fell into lava, at least some of your items probably burned up in the lava, and if your death site is still guarded by the monster that killed you (or your items have fallen into the depths) you might not be able to retrieve them.
