This is a form of personalized education I learnt in the US in 1988. Just a different term is used and more audio-visual aids involved. Very clearly explained with good examples.

Please note though, teaching your children good behavior and manners is giving them life skills, not “controlling them.” some think it's controlling to tell children how to act and enforce them acting appropriately,it's not! I like the idea of showing children respect and kindness that you would want though,just don't let them run the place!

Sure... it is about ‘how’ you teach them that matters. Do you order them to act appropriately and scold / shame them if they don’t or do you role model and teach them with love, empathy and understanding considering their developmental needs?

@@SunshineTeachersTraining well I've noticed children will act the way they want to, regardless of what they see you doing. So being a role model is nice but alot of children will require being scolded because they choose to do what's wrong regardless and alot of the time its for the fun of it or insufficient discipline at home...

Hi there! The characteristics of a GOOD Montessori preschool are: - should have mixed age grouping (vertical grouping) - an environment that encourages independence & responsibility - must have the prepared environment with the 5 Montessori areas - the teacher who guides the children - not controls - an environment where children are treated with respect I hope this helps
