question, i updated, and i see on my startup boith Adobe Premiere 2023 and Adobe 2024...I can remove the 2023 version and not affect the functionality of Adobe Premiere 2024 version, right? - Thanks for takign the time to read.

Yes, you can choose to remove 2023 and it will not affect version 2024. I generally keep the previous version on my computer for a couple months after updating v2024 in case I have any loose end projects used in 2023. @@iamSamOfficial

Tip for shooting content that needs to be delivered in both horizontal and vertical. Shoot everything a bit wider than usual and then crop separately in post for both aspect ratios. Works great with most decent 4k video cameras, even better with an open gate 3:2 camera like a Lumix S5iix

Yes, when possible shooting wider is great, but if you have a small space gen fill can help.

Question 🙋🏼♀️ 0:23 are you saying 1.) finish project 2.) delete cache 3.) update? Or are you saying to just 1.) delete cache 2.) update PP 3.) continue previously started project. I’ve never thought about clearing the cache before updating PP, so I’m wondering if you could expand on the imperatives of that step specifically. Also asking because Ive never had a problem using an old project in a new version of premiere. It’s only when I use an older version of PP than what I initially started the project on, that I have had problems. Thanks in advance!

Yes! Remember that right now it works best for shots that have a static background bc Photoshop only generates still images, not video. I hope in the future it can generate filler video background :)

Hey, great video! I really enjoyed it, but I was wondering if you could consider uploading your videos in 4K resolution. It makes it so much easier to see the details on the screen, and the overall visual quality is even better in 4K. Of course, it's just my personal opinion, but I think it would enhance the viewing experience. Keep up the good work! :)

Love the report @PremiereGal, I've been waiting for Premiere to incorporate the enhance audio, as I was blown away with the Beta by how well it works. I'm still trying to create easy instructions (for myself and others), in converting long-form talking head videos to YT shorts, or IG reels. The information I've been sorting out is with auto reframing, subtitles, and aspect ratio as been tricky trying to see if there's a better way that deals with all 3 together or if better separate as what's best to tackle first. I don't think it can auto-reframe by voice, so the only solution I think I saw is manually editing.

Well, the best update for me and many others would be the crash update. It is germane for Premiere Pro to always consider the fact that our projects canrbe toyed with. One strong reason many user switched to Davinci Resolve few years ago. In addition, Generative Fill like that of Photoshop should be imbibed in Premiere Pro. Thanks greatly Gal for your constant update.

I had a very strange problem with Adobe Premiere Pro version 23 on Windows. My export quality was consistently not as great compared to the same settings on a Mac. On the Mac, the quality and bit rate were fixed, but on Windows, regardless of whether I used CBR or VBR settings, it always dropped to a low bit rate, which messed up the final export. Another issue was that the export was completed, but the final result was blank, especially on Mac. So, I decided to switch to DaVinci Resolve, and I'm glad I did. Now, let's try v24, and I hope they've fixed these issues.

Finally they solved the super slow timeline zoom in/out and scrub. Been using Davinci for 6 months and everytime I needed to use Premiere, the laggy timeline was so anoying.

Thanks for the updates. Would be good to see the ability to do captions like you used in the first seconds of your video. A moidern 'social' look and you can do thes in tools like Descript and Veed. Good to hear you will be able to remove filler words. Wonder about silences? My Premiere used to v24 and it's crashed many times! I have certainly seen that new red box now. 😬

2 weeks late to the party, but thanks, as always for your amazing videos!! I love the new updates. However, I found is that auto-transcribe in beta no longer works for MultiCam. I got an error message saying it couldn't transcribe 'source'. Everything on the timeline that was NOT multicam was fine. I know I'm not the only one, but wonder how often it happens now. Have you had that experience?

No, that obly happens when using the beta. You can have v23 and v24 installed at the same time if you like!

Hey PG, i have a question you might be able to answer. I’ve been in the industry for many years and not paying much attention to audio quality because it’s being sent to postsoundeditor before broadcast. But the speech enhancer blew my mind, so my question is: when exporting AAF or OMF is there a way to include the cleaned up audio and still keeping the original sound to mess with for the post sound editor?

None of the new features matter if the Premiere is unstable. I was able to make Premiere version 24.0 crash in a few seconds after starting to use it on an existing project.

7:59 I appreciate how Adobe also added the ability to set your cover image for a TikTok. I wonder how if once you upload to TikTok the cover will still function like a GIF when you're on a creator's page. The only thing that's missing is the ability to add whatever TikTok calls the title image of the video (the option to add text after selecting "select cover" on the screen where you enter your description). I believe TikTok on desktop also omits that feature too for some reason, so it's the only reason why I still transfer edits to mobile to upload through the mobile app...and I'd really love to not have to do that anymore as it's so roundabout.

6:36 Meanwhile, I'm *really* hoping this part is true about Adobe beefing up Premiere's stability because I've been so frustrated over the past year especially with Premiere crashing so frequently or freezing up on the export screen that I've been sorely tempted to switch platforms...which I *really* haven't wanted to do as it takes time to learn a whole new editing software, and I've learned so much with Premiere that I would much prefer to continue applying.

Update: After updating to the new version, the export screen didn't lock up when I got there! YAYYYYYYYY!!! (The TikTok export option was not present to test, however...but that's fine.)

Can you please help us by informing adobe premiere team to develop a easy way to move the program screen view with the middle wheel of the mouse (like vinci resolve does) when it is zoomed in to the higher lavel while creating anchor point for masking/tracking? One thing I've discovered with the Enhance Audio in the Beta is that it appears to be generating an AI simulation of the voice - it created a very clear voice that barely sounded like the original. :) The recovery feature definitely saved my butt though!

Yes, I noticed a similar effect with the Adobe Podcast Enhance speech feature -- I'm pretty sure it's the same technology.

The new cut silences only work properly if your language is supported, it's a good start but i was hoping for something like thunderbolt or autocut where it mostly cuts based on audiowaves

When I import a MGRT lower third and then customize it with the name/title/colors I need, how do I save it or export it so I don't have to re-create it every time? I started using the 2024 version and sadly for me it got way worse than the previous one I was using (23.5). In a big project the lag was so big that I had to go back to the old version to finish. Then in the old version everything is fine again.

Sadly, Premiere v24 will not load on my fast PC. I use PP frequently and I had to roll back to v23. I spent a few hours uninstalling/debugging with no joy.

Yes appreciated the voice enhancer. And there is noise reduction for other sound. Saves me going back and forth to Audition. NOT Appreciated is the cheezy attempt to sell (I"m already paying $$/month) licensed music. Its nice to have to music play and watch the video at the same time. How about this? Let us attach our own libraries of royalty-free music so we can more easily match music to the video.

I edit a lot of 1080 i50 mxf footage. The v.23 has been some bug that every clip in bin when i click it takes to open to review like 5-10sec.. i have apple studio M1 and X5 2800mbps tb drive. But now when i updated to V.24 it is fixesd.

But...did they fix the autosave option? In both the previous PP version and the beta still did not have the autosave option. I rely on that option too much and when it closed unexpectedly, I lost all the edits I have done.

I would have used this version, but they removed the feature to open it with rosetta on apple silicon. i literally need that feature to run plugins through premiere, so sadly I'm not updating from now on.
