This morning I had a long list of Adobe updates. I wondered how long before Kelsey would save me the job of exploring the updates, and hey presto, by the end of the day, she had done her usual fast, clear, and concise, update video. The only update is the dropdown by frame size 1/2, 1/4 etc, but proxy ingest creation was already there :) Just more simplified.

Adobe has the proxy workflow completely backwards. What is needed is a workflow that starts with the proxies and then accepts the full res files later.

Hello, I respect your work and follow you with pleasure. I have one question if you would like to give me an answer would it mean me? I have a Nikon Z9 and when I shoot in the largest format and the highest quality NRAW, it can only read it in davinci resolutions, while Prime cannot, what should I do about it? Can it be exported from davinci in some raw pro res format that is the same Raw or do you have any other better suggestion?

Good video! The adobe podcast used to work amazingly when it was announced. Ever since, it’s gotten more robotic. I think adobe used their full computing power for the launch and now reduced it hence the poorer results.

I would love to see a feature that would set "create proxies on import" for every project, not having to do this every time I start a new project.

You can create a project template file with Ingest Proxies already set. Duplicate the project, open it, save as. and use it as a starting point for each project.

I would love Adobe to fix the problem with sequences with multicams. I still have sequences that I play and can’t stop playback until the play head reaches the end of the sequence.

Adobe... You have me hanging on with some great updates. Could you please upgrade some of the Lumetri features? 'Skin smoothing', 'glow' and 'denoising' would be super helpful. And a 'global offset' wheel. I still have to take my projects to DaVinci for those. I don't want to keep taking my projects over to DaVinci to finish them.

Welcome to the Toolkit fam! :-) I've used both Storyblocks and Elements, and I can say that sometimes I can find more stock video in Storyblocks, but more graphics/fonts in Elements bc we use a lot of stuff for design and video, so if you need design elements too, Envato has more in that department. But they have a lot of the same stock.

It could be a codec issue, some codecs work better in premiere pro, one idea would be to make 720p ProRes proxies...but if your computer is pumped up it should handle 4k, so maybe transcoding to ProRes could help even?

I have an unrelated question, but in the Sony time-line there are 4 audio tracks. I have the same with log formats. I'm confused which trick I should edit. When adding a sound effect it puts it on all tracks. Adjusting it seperatly doesn't always work. Hope I explained it well. 😉

I'm sure Submachine will issue an email when their panel will start to work. I currently am using Firecut for captions, a bit more intuitive, less steps, but more expensive and no lifetime option. I've linked to it in my description box if you want to try it out.

Hello, I had a question that has nothing to do with the new updates but thought I would just put it out here. I work at a local TV station and shoot/edit local tv commercials (I use Premiere) Not sure why, but if I have the audio mixer window as part of my workspace, when I playback anything on the timeline, the playhead does NOT move. The video plays back smoothly with no dropped frames, but the playhead doesn't move until I hit stop, then it jumps to the position where I just stopped. Its REALLY hard to edit that way. Now if I remove the audio mixer from my workspace, the playhead moves "buttery smooth". We have ADOBE support thru our station, but I haven't heard anything back from them yet. Any thoughts? Other than not having the audio mixer in my workspace? Thanks!

I predominantly use after effects. I use premiere just to chop up clips. I sometimes feel premiere is more relevant. I know you mentioned after effects. But when would you use one or the other ?

Editing is the assemply of clips to tell a story, Ae is used to create some fx that can be added to the Pr assembly :)

I have PP with this same version. I'm looking for updates about multi camera editing. I'm in a bind as I have two cameras shot in .mov at 24fps 4096x2160 and another camera (Sony) shot 59.94 fps .mp4 at 3840x2160. I can't find any tutorials to teach me the steps to accomplish multicamera editing syncing on one sound track. The last one you did was years ago. Those steps don't work now. Hope you can help.

have a RENDER question. When the project shuts down unexpectedly and you re-open it, and all of your fully Rendered clips (greenbar) is now yellowbar again (but you have all the render files sitting in the Video Preview folder). How do you Re-Link the render files in the folder back into the project, without having to Re-Render and Recreate all these render files?? NO ANSWERS!
