Human beings have evolved tremendously over the past thousands of years. However, despite so much progress and scientific advancement we still fall for fake news, conspiracy theories, fallacies and biases. Steven Pinker has brought this concept to life through his path breaking book "Rationality". This is one of the most amazing books I have read in recent times which absolutely blows you off. It sheds light on the most amazing topic of thinking rationally and objectively. This thought provoking video will help you learn a lot. Watch it attentitively.

Thought is response of memory which is knowledge, experience, education and accumulated images. But thought is always limited. Intelligence is the action or perception is not thought. An instant action which is not past knowledge, experience and memory, comes at an instant and prove itself correct is an rational approach.

I believe that rational thinking and logical reasoning have nothing to do with our beliefs and religion. However, we must apply rational thinking in other aspects of life. When it comes to religion, we should avoid rational thinking, as that's when things can start to become manipulated. I came across this video a year ago, and I was very impressed. This idea occurred to me after watching it. Please guide me if I am wrong. I will be waiting for your reply.❤

Some reasons that people are unable to think rationally is that they don’t want to - they’re too lazy to change themselves - for example, our nation will constantly complaint against inflation but they’re unable to quit buying sugar or ghee, and keep on arguing wat replacement should they go for. It’s also that people are addicted to their same old beliefs and with time, it becomes difficult for them to change. For example, I sometimes feel why do we have to pray 5-times every day or why do we fast, and maybe this is the reason that the Muslims all over the world are so far behind cause they’re busy with their prayers. But then I see myself saying prayer and unable to ignore - maybe because it’s not easy for me to ignore what has been taught all my life. Like Nietzsche said “people don’t want their illusions destroyed….” Another reason is that the people are stuck with the constant-everyday-stress which makes it more difficult to think beyond. For example, in Pakistan, there’s no electricity - turn the generator on - but the generator is on gas and there’s no gas, etc…etc… Similarly, in USA, they’re different types of stress that often makes it difficult for a middle-class to think beyond. As far as Covid-19 or 9/11 incidents are concerned, I’m not sure who is behind all of it. But it’s also hard to believe that #USA who is known as superpower can be completely unaware of such major incidents. It’s also true that it wasn’t easy for Democrats to see #DonaldTrump winning against #HillaryClinton and #BlackLivesMatter was probably a drama too created by the Democrats. #GrahamAllen book “Dear America” was quite informative for someone like me who don’t understand American politics or the dirty games played by the politicians. Also, there’s a book titled “Countdown Bin Laden” by #ChrisWallace - just by reading the book I felt it’s either easy to fool the American nation or the writer is too naive to understand the language spoken at White House and CIA. Or maybe the book is incomplete and part 2 is yet to come! After “The untold story of 247-day hunt to bring the mastermind (i.e., osama bin laden) of 9/11 to justice, I’d also be interested to know “The untold story of the 9/11 mastermind during those 247 days.” (If Osama bin laden was the mastermind, what was he doing during those 247-days, and why was he unable to predict what will happen after 247-days if he was actually the mastermind). It was hilarious to read the ending of the book when it says that the “ U.S. military enters his bedroom while he was sleeping with his wife” - reminds me of the Indian action movies from the 80s! I wish the writer #ChrisWallace should have consulted the director of Mission Impossible or Face Off before publishing this book. I hope to see another book soon by #StevenPinker that answers my thoughts/questions!

Where he ground rationality? Mazy ki bat ye he k Steven pinker ne is kitab me jin irrationalities ki bat ki he wo khud bhi unhi ka kahi na kahi shikar he..!! Rationality aik non-physical entity he, so we can't ground it into philosophical naturalism! Wo naturalist he lekin ye kehta he k ham science k zarye har chez ka jawab dhond sakty Hain... So the very fact is k ye bat k ham jawab dhond lengy aik iman ki statement he aur Iman tu metaphysical hota he🤷🏻‍♂️ similarly isse logic me argument from ignorance fallacy kehty hn n inductive reasoning ko hatmi manna bhi black swan fallacy he!! He's surrounded by Soo many fallacies. Uska metaphysical believe empiricism he!!
