Who is Dr. Ergin? Dr. Ahmet Ergin is an endocrinologist with a particular interest and passion for diabetes care. @nado6317 my mom is on Rybelsus, she started with 3 and then 7 now she's on 14. 3 and 7 really didn't do much for weight loss but with 14 yes for sure. She said she gets full easily with small amount of food. And she has lost about 20lb in just couple of month.

I start Rybelsus a month ago and in three weeks on 3mg I lost 21lbs. My doctor had samples. My blood sugar dropped from over 300 to 149 so far. Since I tolerated it well my doctor wrote a prescription. I found out the price at Walgreens was $926.99. I was devastated. I did not qualify for the savings coupon because I’m on Medicare.

Nikki, it’s not going. I’m no longer taking it. I just cannot afford it even with insurance. Now I’m on Trijardy XR empagliflirozin, linagliptin, and metformin hydrochloride extended release tablets. 10mg/5mg/1000mg. So far so good.

Starting tomorrow I've had reverse colostomy surgery. Gained 45 pounds in 6 months still recovering now diabetes . Hopefully I will have success. 1 kidney with strivine disease.

Giiirrrrllll, I have a permanent colostomy so congratulations on your reversal. I had cancer 3 times within a 2 year period and have gained 30 pounds since all of the surgeries, chemo, radiation and certain medicines. When you mentioned vounchers/coupons, did you mean manufacturer coupons? Are Rybelsus manufacturer coupons any different from other manufacturer coupons? I work in the pharmacy and I have not gotten a prescription for Rybelsus yet. But I assume all manufacturer coupons would be similar. All we need is a BIN, PCN, card ID and Group #. Patient needs to call to activate the card and that’s it.

Hello, SugarMD! My Rybelsus comes in a bottle; is that a problem? It seems to have been working by lowering my A1C and losing of weight but not huge difference in the weight. I am 6' 1.5" @ 195 lbs. I take Rybelsus as prescribed, and about one hour later I drink coffee (mostly black); is the drug still working by the time I eat a late breakfast or skip breakfast and eat lunch? If you’re not diabetic, but have insulin resistance (I took a blood test and it came out with levels of insulin resistance), am I a good candidate to take this medication? I’m approximately 20 kilos overweight and I’m currently dieting and exercising. I also have family history of diabetes.

My doctor has prescribed Rebelsus and I am a type 1 diabetic. Can it still help type 1s effectively?? Starting with 3mg and move to 7mg after a month. Its been prescribed to help with weight and to try have more consistent normal sugar levels. Let's see how it goes!

Was just prescribed rybelsus. Additionally am on Jardiance and metformin. A1c is 8.9 before the addition of rybelsus so fingers crossed. Is it necessary to eat 30 to 60 minutes after taking rybelsus?

I took the semiglutide Rybelsus. It made me feel sick all the time, gave me reflux and dry heaves. Without consulting my doctor I stopped taking it after 9 months. I do take metformin for diabetes type 2. I just got my A1c test result. My A1c number went down! plus I did not gain any weight. I feel so much better and glad I decided I am not going to live a life of drug induced reflux and dry heaves and who knows what else that semiglutide path had in store for me.

I have 10 diabetes pill on the do not take list. each one started with the heart and then they start affecting my breathing. i had insulin in the hospital for 2 days and it did nothing. so im a little fear since you said DO NOT BRAKE IN HALF. each of those were half to 1/3 even 1/4 of a tab. one pill a 1/2 put me in conversation no fun since i was driving.

Gave me severe gastric problems, gastroparesis. Developed severe case of auto poisoning e coli. It took several days to thaw out my distended stomach. Lots of pain. Didnt lose a lot of weight. Wasnt worth it. Also a lot of nausea had to use sugar free tums. I had a sharp severe case but I would be wary.

I did the injections; was fine for a few months (blood sugar down, lost weight) but then it started hitting me with bad side-effects: stomach cramping, bloating, pain, nausea, diarrhea...couldn't take it any longer. Doc just started me on Rybelsus and it's so much easier on me. No problems yet. Doc said the shot is very powerful and the pills are a weaker form. Been on the pills 12 days now and it cuts my appetite where my sugars are close to normal and I don't eat everything in site, give me control over food. I'm on 3mg dose.

This medication is over $900 at regular price. With the coupon from the creators I was only paying $10. Coupon expired and now after insurance it’s $150 a month. Do you offer addition assistance? I know you do for people living in FL and NY, but how about for everyone else?

Hi im a diabetic and my Doctor gave me rybelusus even though i have ulserös colit😮...And he Said its oki to keep talking my insulin så usual 😮😮...He dont seem to care about anything i Dont eat fast foods and eat candy..ialso have problem with my thyorid and take levaxine...What is my Docktor doing to me!!!...I dont weight much eihter 😢😢

Every since I started on this medication I have been having problems with going to the bathroom doing poop. I have tried to use a soft laxative but it does not help.😟 What can I do about that problem?

On the 7 mg dose I felt terrible. Headache, nausea then uncontrollable bowels and stomach cramp. I’m sorry but this drug just didn’t suit me so I have come off it. I’m now controlling my glucose levels via the glucose goddess method .i feel much better and more energy.

I’m not sure any doctors would be willing to prescribe it if you’re not diabetic. The FIRST time I tried it, no problem at 3mg, but after about 2 months of 7mg, it made me completely lose my appetite. I spent almost 2 weeks in agony because I needed to eat, but when it was time for lunch or dinner, I had no desire to eat at all. Yeah, I lost weight because I mostly wasn’t eating anything. After about 6 months of being off it, they recommended it to me again, and with no other practical choice (I won’t inject myself unless I’m forced to take insulin for life/death reasons), I tried it again, and thankfully there hasn’t been any issues the second time. I’ve been on it regularly now for a little over a year, and recently moved up to the max dose of 14mg to see if it can help in my weight loss. I’ve also been going to the gym for the last 6 months, so have lost over 25 pounds so far.

3 mg is really just a dose that gets your body use to the medicine, you will really see weight loss when you go to the 7mg pill.

I called them to find out how to open the bottle. They hung up on me twice. The third person wouldn't help me without giving me all kinds of warnings about the drug. I was able to open it after breaking the blue part of the cap with a meat tenderizer. Then I was able to open the white part of the cap. They have terrible customer service. I don't know how much this cost my insurance, but I had to try this before getting approved for Mounjaro. I already had ozempic, the injection form of the same garbage.
