I'm an Admin...and got a free Cert...I don't want to waste it. I rather use it for a Developer than for Platform App Builder. Can hit Trailhead hard for the Developer. I am taking Java right now.

Going from consultant to developer is a good goal to have because you'll have the background knowledge in Salesforce administration and configuration which is key to being a great dev.

You can start by listing out what the list needs to do. - Add items - Remove items - Rearrange items Understand if you need different fields or what you want the look and feel to be like (UI/UX) SLDS is great place for example for style. Start with the simples thing I want to add a an item to the list and see it on the screen.

@@publicclass1835 Thinking of solutions to overcome problems the business is facing in terms of what information you are tracking and what value it is giving the business. Automation is also key to making the user journey better.

Who does more Pentesting? Developers or Platform App Builders?

Pentesting and security as a full-time career is very niche in Salesforce because the platform takes care of a good amount of the security for the organization. I'm sure there are specialized firms that focus on that. Knowing admin and platform app builder would be a good start to go down the security path but it's not a direct line to it. You'll most likely need to learn coding as well.

Wrap your head around Salesforce. For newbies it can be a bit confusing. Working on getting the associate and BA. Those will help you understand how Salesforce works.
