Im not sure if you could switch it off. But if you could switch it off. I'm guessing that will have an effect of over information AND less information on the ECDIS.

SCAMIN of an object is like an attribute of an object. That in a certain zoom in or zoom out view. Or certian scale. It may appear AND disappear on the ECDIS display.

It depends on the database the ecdis is using! the difference is . Keep it OFF when route planning so it wont hide and information and keep it ON while monitoring/travveling! The databases which you can turn it off or on i dont recall at the time. Hope i helped.

By the way. Scamin can be tick on or tick of under the theme setting in our ECDIS

Yes. You are right brother. By the way i just commented yesterday that the scamin function can be tick on or tick off.. it is under the themes settings for Kongsberg ECDIS. for other ECDIS TRY searching. In general.it can be switch on or off.
