Is this a 3.5mm Headphone jack, a 3.5mm microphone jack or a combined microphone and headphone jack from a gaming headset?

So, after I setup Smartgain, would it be able to set different gain levels in real-time as I speak? Say, as soon as I talk loud, it will lower the gain, but once I talk quiet, it will turn the gain up.

Hello, the SmartGain only helps set the gain levels initially and will not continuously adjust the gain. However, if the application you are using (Zoom, Skype... etc) has an Auto-gain feature, it should be able to control the EVO's mic pre-level to achieve what you are trying to do.
