Brilliant, I drive a case 580 on a farm I work on and I’ve the same problem, if the fuel tank goes below 2/3 full it will fail to start.A mechanic changed the whole fuel line filter and hand primer pump but the problem persists, you’ve just solved the problem. PS why are mechanics so clueless?

A nice pre filter or an electric bomb with filter could avoid the headache

Will this also create a consistent diesel smell entering the cab? My 580 SuperM runs fine but I get a diesel smell around the door all the time.

question "ignore the profile picture lol" But back to the question after reading one of the gentlemen's comment my backhoe is a 580L with no turbo. starting is a little rough but once it starts its good. During high idle like using the backhoe or even driving like in gear 3 it starts to sputter just like at high idle when digging too. Would it be the injectors? fuel lift pump? or filters. At the time of writing this its October 4th, 2023 and the last time I changed the fuel filter was the summer before. great video tho, very helpful due to not so many people posting this backhoe.
