@@qq3xy347 2 seconds? Last time I checked it was ten. It kinda gives you the breathing potential of 1.8 and stuff, with 10 extra bubbles. Only downside is that it gives 1 less armor point and it's harder to get than diamond.

aqua affinity and depth strider can also help with movement and sight and water

Prot can actually help from drowning and suffocating.

yup. with respiration 3 and full prot 4, you take basically take no drowning damage. You only take 9% of drowning damage which is very little. An example of this in play in when Technoblade spent several minutes "drowning". After several minutes underwater, he just got bored and came to the surface.

yes true but fire resistance potions make fire protection useless. I think the only enchantment that it might be worth switching to is blast protection 4 for one piece. This is because there are three sources of explosion damage that can still almost 1 shot you even in protection 4 netherite: bed explosions in the end and nether, charged creepers, and end crystals explosions.

I mean like, you will take damage from fire and lava but when you step out you wont set on fire for a little while, you’ll just extinguish instantly. This is good not beacause its reduces damage from burning its beacause when you are on fire its hard to see stuff and also it slows you down, and makes your jumps unstable and these unstable jumps may cause your death in the action. Its a really good thing to have especially in nether

And I just made a set with various protections with only one general protection 4 yesterday... wished I watched this before enchanting it xD

It's simple math so it was obvious from the start. Proj Prot, Blast Prot, and Fire prot all give 8 protection, while general protection gives 16. Plus, general includes blunt/melee damage, which nothing else covers.

@@dracoblizzard7944 they give 8 on a max level prot for their own specific categories while basic prot gives 16 on the full set.. so the most efficient choice is full prot but if you are working around fire alot or live in the nether than you would want one or two pieces with fire prot

Nah, I'd argue that regular protection still wins because One can block themselves using blocks from enemy arrows(or shields if they're allowed) Blast is only useful against end crystals and TNT, unless you're PvPing in those grounds, pretty useless Also fire protection is unnecessary if you have water buckets +Melee damage is pretty much the go to weapon

I'd say 3 for protection and 1 for blast protection, so you have more resistance against end crystals (which do as much damage as charged creepers but can be spammed). At high level, almost all pvp is in the form of crystals, so that slight boost in explosion resistance means everything
