Just got mine and I think their great, they just not made for cinematic exprience with that vibration through the body (pc games, movies, or even bass heavy sounds). They lack bass power. To listening to actual music, intruments, electro effects, voices, these are amazingly powerful and clear

Are these speakers alot better than the edifier r1280bd/r1700bt/r1850db? Because they are alot more expensive. Is it worth the money?

Yes and u can hear a huge difference. I don't know about the 1850 but when you hear 1700 and s2000 u can hear a big difference and the clarity and bass is there

In my opinion, I bought them for 300euro, their sound is far better than what they cost, so it's worth every euro spent, they have no fault and they play absolutely fantastic, their only fault is the size, if you complement them with some open subwoofer that will give them space and sound size, then they are practically perfect. I use SVS pb2000pro.

Great review. I'm a pc gamer like your self: I can't wear headphones. got tinnitus .. not good so looking for bookself speaker: came across this. I play cod ect.. do you think these are ott or any recommendations would be amazing. I play on low volume: but want separation and hear footsteps.. you know were I'm coming from: ty sir

Why cant you wear headphones with tinnitus? I have had tinnitus, i have absolutely no problems, i only have ringing in my ears after using it.

@iAmKoKash for me it spikes the tinnitus really load so then I can't sleep. It's a struggle for sure my volume is very high. Keep busy and have external music on silent is a thing from the past

@@darrendavies1102 Are you pretty new in the tinnitus "world"? In the beginning my tinnitus was a living hell as well when i was going to sleep. I was a young teen when i got mine, i am in my 40s now, and through the years my "mind" taught to "ignore" they sound. Of course its there all the time, but i no longer register it that much any more. Though ive got my bad days.

They are PC speakers, the computer has a subwoofer output. I use them with a SVS PB2000pro subwoofer and it's brutally good, I smile every time I listen to it, I don't regret the money because it's amazing sound for the money.

do I win anything with an upgrade from my brand new s2000 mkiii to s3000 pro (if it's a good bargain)? I do love pretty much everything about these little boomboxes. The only thing probably is that on volume over 35 I have to reduce bass due to the sound distortions (mostly on some rap and trap soundtracks), yet it doesn't annoy that much. So, what do you say?

If remember right, the S 3000 pros are super loud and it’s true about the bass going down to stop distortion too. It does depend on how they are setup in your room.

@@twsitertornado4694 I got s3000 pro, they are amazing, but to my ear there’s not enough midrange, and I am considering now a80+sub, yet dunno if I win and not lose anything. Really eager to listen to a300, but their price is sky high to me.

@@twsitertornado4694 nah, the s2000 mkiii's mid feels better to ne and the highs are softer, but the lows are rather smashed and humming compared to s3000 pro.

of course. if mac mini has line out, you can use line in. or you can use bluetooth. I just checked and it seems m1 mac mini has headphone out. which would work with line in, but I would not recommend. Better to get something like HDMI cable with line out jacks ?

These were supposed to be better than the older model S2000 Pro. While Mkiii got upgraded features, Edifier downgraded its sound quality. S2000 Pro is still better option for under 400$. 🔚

I heard different. The MKIII should be clearer and more balanced with the S2000Pro where lacking mids.

@@rdolle990 Yes MKIII got better detail but the entire sound signature got out of balance. That is why both models are priced similarly.
