Yesterday a Indycar 2023 mod on Automobilista 2 updated, it now has cars for road, oval and Indy. For me, the absolute best way to simulate Indy500 without a doubt!

great video, only thing missing is the recent update of the indycar 2023 mod for ams2. It now has oval spec cars, and is very good

Automobilista (1) has mods for an outdated car/track. Raceroom also has an older USA style open wheeler, and Indianapolis speedway, but no oval aero kit or FCY.

I wouldn't say Automobilista 1's CART Extreme is outdated at all. It still handles much better than AMS2's oval cars and the FFB feels much more nicer.

WOW a blast from the past there lol. Tbh I loved this video. I live in the Indianapolis area and so this is my home track so to say. My son works for. Catering company who services the IMS and has been assigned to take care of the McLaren suite for race day!!!🎉. I did for get the speedway is in PC2 so I am re-installing it now. I plan to stream some laps tonight and maybe tomorrow. 🍻

NR2003 should have been on the list imo Any indycar season from 2003 to modern times along with a few old cart seasons Abunch of different eras of the Speedway from 1970 to 2020 Rolling start (only 2 wide because nascar game initially) and it has cautions

Facts. We need one that has a career system like the F1 games, and all of the tracks that Indy goes to. Just, not the bugs and physics model that the F1 games use. Also a good FFB model would be nice. In essence, we need ACC levels of FFB, physics, and graphics, with a career mode and a good multiplayer where you're not constantly getting punted by 12 year olds *Looking at you Forza Motorsport 6 and 7*

She said it at 5:35 and is right that the CARTs are just ridiculous oversteery with the low-downforce setup while during the beta the cars were boringly planted with the normal setup and faster... I was mentioning it in the forum that I can only drive the cars with everything setup to understeer, but Reiza choose to release the BS-handling on default...

@@Leynad778 the setup of the car might not be the problem, but the new physics WHICH ARE ARRIVING THIS MONTH is the fix. The old physics might have been the issue and Reiza maybe didn’t see ovals as a priority

@@gru0058 I did enough tests of the "new physics" back and forth to say: there are no new physics. Custom FFB files or some changes in the setup do more than the upcoming "new" physics. It feels more like a slightly different FFB without anything significant in handling so far. The 1.9 ACC update was certainly a bigger change if you like it or not.

AMS2 just release a new Formula USA 2023(modern indycar) with new tyre physic. Its totally a blast.
