Looks like I had some big rendering issues with my "Best Guns to Use Against Phantoms" video so here's a different one instead and I'll get that one fixed for a future date.

M60, set it up for aimwalking speed and ads speed and put the rapid fire barrel on with a barrel extender

I personally think that the m60 is one of the best weapons in the entire game if u put right attachments on it

Coming from tac shooters, where a 30 round mag is enough to down 5 enemies or more, it feels nice to have a 100 round mag and not be forced to reload after every other engagement.

Love to see your hustle and grind and expanding beyond CoD Ace. You're a gem in the CoD community as you will be in the xdefiant community.

From my perspective/experience, vertical recoil is easier to control than horizontal, so despite the overall smaller magnitude of recoil on the RPK, the fact that the others don't immediately start veering off to the side makes them easier to handle for me. And so, that being said, M60 all day. I will say, for the types of players who don't want to bother with all the movement shenanigans in the game and just want to run around and shoot stuff, the LMGs are naturally very well suited to that playstyle. You definitely want to try to already be ADS'd in preparation for your gunfights with these.

Consistent damage over range makes the RPK perfect for silencer builds. Iron sights are good so you can spec for accuracy with some ADS walking speed and you’re golden. Had some crazy games with this build I use the m60 as a counter sniper due to accuracy and stopping power

Hey Ace -- I think a good idea for a video would be going through various counters for different abilities. Like, what are the ways to defeat spiders, or ways to best stop certain ults, etc.

I believe the m60 with heavy barrel also decreases the number of headshots for a 3 shot kill to 2 headshots and 1 body shot

The m60 is one of the most fun guns I’ve ever used in a game. I run a mostly speed build with 8x scope. Used it until I got gold and now pull it out when I need to win a match.

Love the RPK and M249 with cleaners. Fire rate increases on M249 feel soooo good

I got the m60 gold, and it’s my favorite gun to use in the game! Just too fun to chain kills together. M1911 run in when I run outta ammo instead of reloading for 8 sec 😂

It's nice seeing an M60 with actually good iron sights when most of its CoD appearances have absolutely horrible iron sights. For my build, I stack heavy on aim walking movement speed attachments and do a lot of pre-aiming and strafing around corners.

I did some number crunching and personal testing of my own and I think there might have been an error on the TTK for the M249. With its 5 shot kill at 600rpm, the ttk should be 500ms to the body and 400ms with a headshot mixed in.

I love the m249 Im able to always hit a headshot in the mix. How much does the ttk change on guns with the attachment that increases fire rate like on the ak47

M60 got a special place in my heart from older games. Gonna lvl that up first, when Im done with the ARs. Full move speed with rapid fire will be the way to go i think

Seeing the RPK getting a guaranteed 5 shot kill took my right back to CoD's glory days where LMGs didn't have damage drop off (with exceptions).

M249 is my favorite so far. But I like all the lmgs. They seem to be best in modes like escort where you are defending a position. RPK should maybe get a slight boost to movement and handling in my opinion.

I'm surprised the RPK ADS time is slower than the M249, I feel like that should be backwards, especially since the M249 can also get a 60 round mag instead of the painfully slow box mag.

Just had my best match so far in the game, first time ever using an LMG. The M249 absolutely rips and it's nice to not have to reload after every kill like some of the other guns (Vector, but really all SMGs due to the high TTK). I think I may start using the M249 a lot more lol.

Since youbcan break your reload by aiming, there isnt really any downside to reloading early with the box mags. The empty reload on the rpk is significantly faster than its standard reload time, there basically isnt any downtime for firing and thats its best feature unfortunately.

Honestly, big fan of the M249 and M60, not big on the RPK. I'm not too sure what it was but no matter how I built the RPK, it ALWAYS felt lackluster. On my journey to Lv50, the majority of my kills came from the Cleaner's fire damage after death.

This might sound like I'm mental but LMG's are my favourite guns in the game. And I get on very well with them. M249 is my favourite for the reasons you mentioned.

I’m leveling up both the 249 n M60. One I feel semi mobile the other I feel like an elephant in mud.

gave teh m60 a shot and it rips super hard for me. only thing that holds it back is you cant get to the enemies quickly enough :D Insane damage output with nice accuracy

So I generally lean towards really liking LMGs, especially belt-feds, in most FPS games so I generally leaned towards these pretty heavily outta the gate. At first I felt pretty annoyed with the absurdly long reloads considering an LMG's intended use will have it burning through ammo pretty often, and prefering big belt-fed mags when I saw that the M249 couldn't improve that and keep that belt-fed I kinda felt a bit turned away from it, but still used it a decent amount regardless. And honestly? For my preferred slower and more tanky support/crowd control playstyle (and a more aggro playstyle tbh) I really prefer the M60 over the M249. Despite it's slower handling stat I feel like I can land headshots consistant enough to get a decent benefit from the faster ttk when I need it in one on one fights. I also absolutely LOVE the M60's irons in most games it's in so I never really use sights on it so it saves me an attachment compared to the Saw and the RPK. And I just really feel like I can build it for most anything and really keep that big heavy LMG feel of it that I absolutely love. Overall, I also am a fiend for the long range pressure you can apply with it. I could already catch out snipers who'd not expect that much damage that accurately from far away, but now with flinch I can be an absolute menace to them and give them a really hard time if they don't land that instant one shot, which isn't as often as other folk given I like to play phantom due to my ability to dig in and recap objectives. Overall, despite the very minimal diversity in the LMG class compared to a game like CoD, I prefer the way they feel in this game and the way they really mesh with it so much more than a CoD game as in those LMGs kinda just feel out of place and outclassed due to the dominance of high mobility high firerate ARs and SMGs combined with the really quick TTK. But point is, M60 is my go to without a shadow of a doubt and despite it being less forgiving overall I love it for that and it has so much LMG charm for me, for anyone who wants to try LMGs and get the full LMG experince I'd suggest the M60 of you're willing to take on a slower more supportive playstyle for the benefit of great crowd control and more long range pressure than snipers are comfortable with you having. If you however want something that still has that LMG feel to it but gives you better wiggle room to make errors and with some attachments allows a more aggressive playstyle then go with the M249 Saw. The RPK is also a really good pick for those who want something that feels more like an AR so potentially much more familiar but maybe still wants to get used to an LMG's slower nature overall, but I tend to not like it much as it's small mag even with the drum can result in me running outta bullets way faster than I'm used to and as a result getting caught out by a bigger group than I can handle with the amount of ammo it has. I really wanna see them add more LMGs aswell to the game, maybe something like the ALDA 5.6 from Siege that Maestro uses could be good as I absolutely loved that bullet spewwing monster of a gun in Siege and I feel like it'd be right at home in a game like XDefiant.

The M249 is my current go to but holy crap the iron sights are so bad Getting it to level 2 to get the red dot was painful

Fun fact: The M60 does 25 damage, so it should kill a Libertad in 4 hits, right? Wrong! In the time the M60 has shot off 3 bullets, the passive healing already has healed them for 2-4 HP so the 4th bullet wont kill them and you need a 5th bullet. Same shots to kill and TTK on the Phantoms as on the Libertad.

They could at LEAST match the RPK's sprintout and ADS speads to the M249. Why is it lighter and yet still slower? Needs a little buff

Be a beast and recall about that matter you’re only taking 45 maybe six shots to kill things your recoil it isn’t that important. I picked up the M 60 Jeff yesterday and it immediately improved my gameplay by 20 or 30%. I mean I’m getting I nearly wiped the team multiple times five people one time free and four multi kill other times, that 60 is a beat without any mods on it. It’s a beat.

M249 is pretty nice, especially on escort and zone control.

Rpk easy from lil I use of it is just slightly slower than Assault rifle Yeah, it has more Ammo than the base assault rifles It's hinderling reminds me of the Rpd from cold war, which was my favorite gun in that game

For all the stats the RPK has in favor of it, it feels like the worst gun in the game next to the 870 pump action

While I get that there aren't many overall best in class weapons in this game, it does grind my gears a little that all of these videos are titled "The ABSOLUTE BEST MOST GODLY OP GUN in XDefiant!!" - and then the video starts with a disclaimer that actually, they're all pretty much the same and there's no standout. Why not just make the title something like "XDefiant LMGs compared" or "XDefiant LMG guide" ?

RPK my beloved. Its an LMG you can run like a Assault Rifle. M249 is second place. M60 could be better tbh i need more attachments for it.

Honestly, I like the LMG's in this game. I feel like their scope is limited, but they're good at doing what they're made for: locking down lanes. They're awful for CQC, and they're not great for pushing any position. Sometimes you can take out snipers at longer ranges, but a skilled sniper will still get you. But for locking down lanes and holding choke points, they're great! I tend to lean towards the M60 for this.

Recoil in this game is so easy What screws me is- the aim slow down😂 I want full aim assist but then its hard to pull down. I also keep my vert sens lower, ive raised it now so i can control recoil tho😂

Rpk has all the negatives of a lmg with a base 45 mag, m249 is by far the best lmg due to handling and its rate of fire compared to the m60

I think the LMGs are all in a very good place in the metagame at doing exactly what an LMG should do They’re niche picks, unideal for a lot of situations but if there’s an area that you really need to lock down or an area teammates need to be but can’t reach because of the crossfire, pretty much any of them should do the trick nicely Even the M60, a weapon infamous for being terrible in pretty much any video game it features in, is actually quite cromulent and has a very valid, albeit uncommon usecase in the meta. Which is really refreshing to say, I mean honestly, how many times have you ever seen a game that has such stable yet diverse weapon balance in your life? There’s a couple edge cases for unbalanced weapons, the MRs are ridiculously strong, the shotguns are ridiculously weak, pistols aren’t even worth thinking about, spiderbots are incredibly annoying and buggy, but as a whole, XDefiant honestly seems to have launched with a genuinely good metagame out of the box.
