It mostly depends on what phone it is. The implementation is much more important than the SoC itself.

Is curious that a lot of people shet about the snapdragon 450 on low end or mid-low devices when its basically the same chip as you have. And you dont have any problem!

Now it needs its proper successor! SD636 was a good attempt, but we need it on 10nm or even 7nm process! Also, forget about performance when all the chipset's main goal is pure efficiency. SD645 (4x Cortex A53@2.2GHz + 4x Cortex A53@1.6GHz) based on 10nm or 7nm, but with the much better Adreno 510 GPU. This is a perfect choice of chipset for battery-oriented budget smartphones!

Listen, previous gen processsors like SD 821, 835 would be better than current midranges likes 636,660,710 etc. Idk about 820 though. Also previous gen flagships would also be better than this years midrange, just tell me if you had to choose between Samsung galaxy S8 and poco f1 or asus zenfone 5z then which one would you choose?

@@mohamedraafat9248 see that's the problem, poco f1 just gives you a taste of using a flagship level phone while S8 is a flagship phone, all poco f1 has on S8 is battery and performance and all other things goes to S8 especially display, that 2k amoled screen is way way way better than Poco and let's not forget cameras and IP68 rating.

@@vedantnagar5148 right , but don't forget the price as you said the s8 is a flagship with flagship's price and for some people performance and battery are pirorities , and poco also has a very good camera for the price, it beats the s8 in dinamic range you can also download pixel's 2 and 3 camera apk and they make the poco's back camera a match for the s8 in day light and could even beat the s8 in some situations , the front camera is impressive on the poco it could be better than the s8's , but sadly it doesn't have ois which makes the difference in low light and even if the poco is on a tripod it's photos come out soft in low light which is strange considering it has same main camera sensor as the mi 8 and google camera apk makes low light photos better but doesn't match the s8's.

Yeah i know i'm just too lazy to compare the benchmarks (not just from Qualcomm) so i just tell people that they should chose something with 4gb of ram and Android One since i know that Android One will last.

Its basically a SD 710 with 2 more high power cores instead of low power ones But sd800 series got hugely better graphics

@@kogoat7411 not really based on Garry's other video. Even the CPU is marginally faster on the SD660 compared to SD821. Though the Adreno 530 is still obviously better vs Adreno 512. Overall, the sustained performance is better on SD660,SD670 and SD710 compared to the old SD820 & 821 chips.

It trades blows with 636 and 660. It's actually stronger than 660 in cpu But is on par with 630 or 636 on gpu

Maybe try and get on the 2nd hand market A sd820 might be a good deal but beware the sd820 is prone to overheating and having a weak cpu

I would say that the difference between a G72 MP3 in the P60 and a G51MP4 in the Kirin 710 is marginal. According to some quick searching it looks like the former is about 10% faster than the latter. But the Kirin has a faster CPU. So it depends on how much "weighting" you give to the CPU/GPU when trying to arrive at a final score. It also depends on the phone. I tried to take a sampling of phones using the different processors.
