What is the Difference Between a Tank and a Tank Destroyer?

Tanks remain formidable military machines, with a vital presence in various combat scenarios where other options might not be as feasible. The pursuit of the ultimate tank has spurred intense competition among nations, leading to the creation and manufacturing of the most sophisticated tanks currently in existence. However, if there is a tank, there should be vehicles that counter the tank and should not be messed with. It is called a tank destroyer. So, how is the tank destroyer different from the tank?

No they are not tank destroyers - they are called Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicles (UCAV). The tank destroyers of today are light military trucks (e.g. Humvee) armed with ATGMs and APCs modified into ATGM carriers.

ISU-152 is not a tank destroyer but an assault gun. A tank destroyer traditionally is a self-propelled anti-tank gun while an assault gun is a self-propelled infantry support gun.

The future must be unmanned vehicles, with all the smart weapons and they will get smarter and smarter humans dont have any chance with the thermal sights you can not hide and bombs will be dropped straight on ur head.. and vehicles like tanks dont make any chance against a ATGM what can shoot 10km, even 5 is to far for a tank..

We should be asking Russia they seem to dispatch any tank supplied so no tank is better than another.

I am not a military man with no idea of warfare like that of other history buffs who watch history videos. But know this, when it comes to tank destroyers, anybody who does not agree stug III is the best WWII, is total fool period

Sovereign States make tanks, nations don't. A nation doesn't need a border nor government. A nation is just a community of people who can exist in multiple sovereign states simultaneously. Multinational countries like UK, Russia, USA, Pakistan and India have multiple nations under their respective sovereign federal state. While at the same time the Korean Peninsula is a nation which is divided into two sovereign states.
