The biblical knowledge of this will help you to grow more spiritually and to overcome most obstacles that life throws at you. We as Christians need to know how to crucify our fleshly desires and how to live through our new spiritual nature. In this video, we look at what the bible says about the difference between soul and spirit and how to really walk in the spirit of God.
God revealed to us through the bible the knowledge of what our human soul is and what the spirit is. Sadly there are not a lot of preachers who preach about this, because people prefer motivational messages that make them feel good. But it is only the truth of scripture that really has the power to bring lasting change into our lives. The truth sets us free from sin and it changes the way we think and live.
We need to move back to God's word to understand the truth of what a real Christian lifestyle really is like.

When I heard the video, these given citations came to my mind, I thought it would be better to share with you. Acts 18:24:26; James 3:1; I think He left the most important part regarding the Spirit and the Soul. We have no ownership over it. Both belongs to God. Both belongs to Lord Yeshua for it is He who placed that in our Body in the first time and it should return as Holy to him for the Lord is Holy. Gen 2:7; Eccl 12:7; So What is required of your Soul before you die. It needs to be cleansed. How can that be cleansed? How is that possible? If not cleansed it will not return to God’s presence (Rev 6:9-10;) but it’s place is in Hades and there is a big separation (Luk 16:23-26;) Your Soul can live to eternity (Rev 20:4;) so do your Soul can die (Mat 10:28;) The spiritual forces of evil is waging war against our Soul to prevent it from returning to God (Rom 7:23; Eph 6:12; Ezek 18:3-4; ) Who can save your Soul from (Rom 7:24-25;) this wretched body? The Gospel of our Lord Yeshua Messiah is all about saving your Soul ( Acts 2:41,47;) How did those three thousand souls were saved ? (Acts 11:14-17;) Simon who is called Peter; he will declare to you a message by which you will be saved. So what is that message? Followers of Christianity claim that they are born again, irrespective of what ever denomination you are. Let no one deceive you (Eph 5:6; 2 Cor 11:3;) Instead take some time to (2 Cor 13:5-6; Jn 15:8;) No one can make you pass the test, but you yourself have to seek him, and if you seek him, he will be found by you and your Soul will be lighted with the light of life. (1 Chr 28:9; Job 33:18-20;) For the Lord God gives his Holy Spirit to all who obey Him, but who has believed? Who has obeyed the Truth? (Acts 5:32; Rom 10:16; Luk 6:46;) Make your own attempt to learn the way of God more accurately(Act 18:26;) and there is one and only road - Believe the Gospel and OBEY the Gospel (Jn 2:5; Mat 28:20;) I am not a priest, pastor, evangelist or teacher. Neither I am a Jew, Follower of the many Gentile religions, but a believer in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and Lord Yeshua. If my comments are wrong, please do correct me and while doing so, do not forget to give citations as I did. May the Lord give you and me wisdom, understanding and knowledge of Him so that we will not shrink back(Heb 10:39;) when (1 Jn 2:28;3:1;1 Th 5:23;) be children of God at the coming of our Lord Yeshua Messiah.

I have been praying for years. Asking God to show me my path. I still don't know fully, but years ago I had an amazing urge to preach the word of God and become a colporter! @Keith Harrison You need to finish reading (v 28). He was asking why the Canaanite woman would come to Him (a Jew) for help since Jews and Gentiles didn't mix in that society. When she responded that even Gentiles should eat from the Lord's table He stated "O woman, great is thy faith, let it be thee as thou wilt". Also, look at John 4:7-13. He would not say that to the Samaritan woman if He was only here for Jews. Many other examples that show you are in error.

I remember the very day, when the Holy Spirit moved into me. (At salvation) I’ll never forget it! It rocked my world. I cried like a baby. I didn’t understand it at first, but later the Lord said to me. What happens when a baby is born? I said it cries. He said you have been born again!

Did you all speak in another tongue. If you did, you were filled with the Holy Spirit. If not, please seek the LORD for the infilling of the Holy Spirit. You must repent and then worship. It’s when you are worshipping from the heart it happens. You begin to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gives you utterance. See Acts 2:1-4., Acts 19:1-6, (note vs 6), Acts 10:44-47 (note vs 46-47).

I was born in a christian family so I inherited Christianity from my parents. I'm 24 year old now. I decided to received Jesus Christ as my saviour again (July 2020). The important thing to know is whether Jesus recieves you and recognizes you as among his flock to be saved by HIM come Judgement Day. It is blasphemous to say You Recieved Jesus as your personal Saviour as if you had a choice or alternative. No one comes to the Father unless thru Him. -- Check your faith..you might be decieved.

The Lord will speak to you thru your conscience........if you are born-again, and believe the word, your conscience is an accurate guide.......not the soul....thank you Daniel, you have described the difference between soul and spirit...there is so much confusion over this today....most people, even christians think they are the same, they are not.....God will never speak to a person's soul...took me years to learn this

Actually, spiritual maturity is not dependant on age necessarily. God also anoints teachers HE chooses as per HIS will. Ephesians Chapter 4:11 onwards.

It is not quite correct specially the New Testament concept of what soul is. Humans have 2 parts not 3, the soul in the New Testament is our mind, emotions, and will, which are a result of the spirit given by God to us and the body or more specifically, our brain.

Onelove I watched it, 2:18 he says that we are body, soul, and spirit, and he says like the Trinity, no where in the scriptures this is defined as true. The spirit and the body are the only two components of a person defined in the Old Testament, now what it is translated as soul is actually the Psyche, this is our mind, emotions, and will, but this is not like the spirit, this appears by the interaction of the spirit and the brain. When someone dies like Ecclesiastes say, the body returns to the ground and the spirit returns to God who gave it, there is no soul in there, as soon as someone dies, that person’s mental capacities, end.

Christ follower : what you are explaining is same thing the narrator explained. He says body is physical aspect we see and use to interact with environment and other people. He says our soul is our psyche, emotions etc. And that the spirit is what interacts with God when we pray, meditate or filled with power of Holy Spirit . The part of trinity is simply comparison he makes that God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit which coincides with man having body, soul and spirit.

No matter how good or bad a person is, their body returns to the ground. No matter how good or bad you are, your spirit (lifeforce) returns to Him who gave it. Your soul is what determines if you're joined with your spirit in Life, or your flesh in death. We are born spiritually empty like a cup, the same as the earth was void before He formed its beauty. Do not let His Spirit return to Him void; and let your cup be filled with His Spirit till it runs over. Messiah is the True Vine and You are the fruit of that vine, hence - you are the cup He will drink from, just as we drink from His cup daily.

The first pastor I have heard preaching the truth. Every human is born spiritually dead. Animals have souls because they have characters and minds . The difference is they do not have spirits. They are not born in the image of Christ. So is every human born spiritually dead What the age of accountable is only God knows. That is why it is vital that we lead our children to Jesus. It has taken me 39 years of my life to discern my spirit, by the grace of God. He reached out to me (unexpectedly) and instructed me to read, learn his word and lead my family (a work in progress) to walk with him. Just like working out muscles in the body by isolating them with focus, training and exercise. I've learned to isolate, train and exercise the spirit of the mind as opposed to the spirit of the flesh. It is incredible how unlocking my spirit and the direct connection with the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ has guided my understanding of his word and the truth. I once was blind but now I see. Being born again does not equate salvation. One has to be a doer. Faith without works is dead, James 2:24-26. Salvation is an ongoing process. One has to be perfect for God is perfect. Only God knows who'll go to heaven/eternal life. Nobody & nobody knows for sure of one's salvation, so, "once saved is always saved" is not applicable; a man-made doctrine, false teaching= no salvation but damnation to hell.

SOUL: Hebrew "nephesh" . It literally means a "breather". Any organism/animal that breathes is a soul. See Genesis 1:20--26 KJV. For us it means the unit person in totality. SOUL - now your soul is your psyche it is your identity your will your intellect your passion your feelings your Conscience ect.. SPIRIT-your spirit is totally different from your soul it is your inner man ,it is were peace and joy dwells it is your Ora , your spirit broadcasts you out into the world around you, Your spirit broadcasts all of your Body soul energy waves it is Gods gift and his way of communicating with you and the only way you can communicating with him is in spirit. We are made in his image body soul & spirit, Now your question would be I thought you said our spirit is dead it is when you are born but when you are born again when you believe in Jesus Christ as your savior God gives you his Holy Spirit and he gives you a new heart for him that is when your spirit comes alive the Holy Spirit dwells in your spirit and this is were we get our greater understanding of God and his written word ,you can now understand God because he gives you understand through his Holy Spirit . God gave you a spirit to seek after him that is why millions of people are so empty inside and are seeking after something but never find it .. you cannot find anywhere else in the world only in God .
