Just in case you did not know, I was referring to the comment of Brother Ares. Let's talk about propoganda, shall we ;). "information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view.". The brexit campaign claimed that the UK could leave under much better conditions. This claim was false, it was clear from the beginning that these conditions spoken of by the campaign would not be the UK leave conditions. This means your 'anti propaganda' squad should also be against the whole brexit campaign.
@chicotthejester9341

MistaCcyner You mean like the remainer David Cameron who claimed that our national security would be compromised by Brexit despite the fact it’s NATO that is responsible for that not the EU? Many lies were told on both sides of the Brexit referendum just as they are in every single political campaign in history. It is up to the media to cut through this but when they are so firmly on one side of the issue they become propagandists, worse than the politicians because they claim neutrality.

So what's the the difference between the Customs Union and the Single Market?
@lilym1797
@lilym1797 Жыл бұрын
This is 4 years old but: Customs Union: Countries within the union have free trade together but negotiate trade deals together for countries outside the union. They have a common external tariff on outsiders. Single Market: the free movement of goods, services, capital and people.

@droidgeist 3 жыл бұрын
The difference in the cost of paracetamol has absolutely nothing to do with the EU customs union... for the obvious reason, that both the UK and Ireland have been part of the EU customs union! The reason there's a difference in cost is because... the UK has allowed more licenses/authorisations for the manufacture and sale of paracetamol, which means there's more companies making it. This additional competition drives down the price of paracetamol in the UK.

Um, How could companies importing goods to the UK pay more duty? If they are paying duty it is imposed by the UK government, a tariff on imports, so it would be a fault of the UK government and nothing to do with the EU or our membership / or non-membership. Remember that they could also import the goods from other countries where prices are better too....BBC, Basic economics is not your strong point...

WHY? I voted leave but now I understand some of the issues Remainers have. Why does Theresa May and her cabinet push so hard to be outside of the single market? Can someone please explain this to me as someone who doesnt have a degree in business. Is it literally just so we can have more trade options with places like China and the US? Because if so it doesnt seem like the cons of leaving outweigh the pros, especially if it makes the Ireland border issue an even messier affair

Source? - controlling the borders could have been negotiated within the eu as David Cameron said during his presidency - we won’t get better trade deal with the us, than the one eu currently has.
