Did the math: using this on a diamond hoe would take 23.45 seconds using this on a netherite hoe would take 30.5 seconds

Actually, this might be able to be improved still! Because it's possible for a player to be inside of blocks, you might be able to have the player stand inside of the first dirt block. Then you would be able to reach an additional block, which would add up over a couple of ticks. It might still be the same amount of ticks, maybe not. Wooden hoes have 59 durability so 59/6 = 10 ticks rounded up, and 59/5 = 12 ticks rounded up. Would be interesting to see a design with this concept

I'm extremely disappointed with your lackluster imagination and uninspiring speed. Why till in a single cardinal direction when you can till diagonally? This machine is far too slow for me to be able to effectively burn through the thousands of shulker boxes of iron hoes I've amassed in preparation of their destruction. 2/10, at least you tried. Seriously, I love the design. It's always nice to see improvements made to areas that have zero practical use in their current application, especially when they may be just the solution needed in a completely different set of circumstances. finally! my storage was filling up with hoes! finally i can get rid of them! than you so much!

waiiiit i just had an idea to make it slightly faster. make the amount of dirt in that row slightly longer so you cant reach the end piece, then if you can then position the player inside the first dirt block or right next to it, and then you can reach all pieces in one tick. you will probably need to make some changes to that machine to do this though, but the idea is there.

Wouldn't it be faster if you move the player to new dirt rather than moving new dirt to the player? If you move the player at 100m/s and for every block you travel there is a new dirt block, shouldn' the hoe break in 0,59s?

If you aligned the dirt blocks diagonal wouldn't you be able to hoe more than 5 blacks in a single tick, probably 7~9? this of course comes with making it _way_ more difficult to build, but it's still a cool idea.

Idk if i had a genius idea or not: what if you could hoe more than 5 dirt at a time? That would most likely mean you'd have to be moving between 2 lines of dirt. The question is how? Can we 0-tick push ourselves between two blocks to hoe both lines within a small time frame? Just a thought. Idk if that's even possible, but very interesting idea. I didnt even think there'd be a science to breaking a hoe before today lmao

isnt it only possible to do this (hoe more than 1 dirt per tick) with tweakaroo or some other mod witj the fast right click? bc iirc, you can only place 1 block per tick normally, but you can place more per tick with tweakaroo
