Baseball is up there. Hitting a round object coming at different and changing angles at 100 MPH with a cylindrical bat is one of the most difficult feats in sports.

Tennis is up there, running forwards, backwards, sideways, diagonally and then to factor in how long it goes on for. Even returning the 105mph serve is hard enough. The spin on the ball can go in different directions

It’s for sure hockey, it’s a joke to say golf is the hardest sport 😂, baseball is up there as well, but there isn’t 5 people trying to run you through the boards at the same time when you play baseball.

Split second transition from offense to defense, stick handling, the teamwork aspect and in golf you don't have a goalie.

That golf argument is one of the worst I’ve ever heard. Weather is a factor in every single outside sport. The difference in cricket or baseball is that the ball could hit and seriously injure you at 100mph if you miss it, if you miss in golf it’s just a bad shot. The pressure and consequences isn’t even close. Along same lines, boxing surely must be the toughest sport because of the physical risks?

Rowing. Years of training. Spend hours travelling, constructing the boat, could be rowing 6km in the winter just to get to the start line. Then race and do it all again. . . . . Then imagine doing all that in an 8 man boat and picking up an injury. No one can row.. there are no subs. You're stuck on the water and you've ruined the day for everyone. Then, imagine doing all that on the River Thames , as an amateur, racing against olympic champions. Thousands of people watching you, the nerves kick in and you need a wee.

British people trying to discuss baseball with no frame of reference is crazy. Obviously wind would affect a baseball too and you’re reacting to an opponent’s action, not just hitting a static object. Cricket is also a bad comparison as their bat is a rectangular surface versus a cylindrical one. I think hockey is harder, but yapping about something you don’t know is so lame to listen to

The Noel Gallagher character has no clue what he’s talking about. 60 yo women can hit a golf ball 200 yards with relative accuracy. Hitting a 100 mph fastball is one the HARDEST thing to do in sports. And be weary of men wearing pinky rings trying to talk sports.

As a goalkeeper, but also an ex-waterpolo player, again goalkeeper, I feel very offended. Swimming intensively for 30 minutes + playing with the ball, using your hands (handball) + wrestling against your opponent in the wanter so that they don't drown you in it. Nothing else is compared to the physical activity in it. Hardest sport by lightyears
